Jasmine: Ma, what are you doing here? Zoya: What? Am I not allowed to come visit you again? Jasmine: You can but I spoke with you yesterday and you didn't tell me you will coming. Zoya: I wanted to surprise you but it seems as if you don't want me here. Don't worry I'll just go back. Jasmine: That's not what I meant. You can stay. Zoya: Where had I gone wrong in raising you that I have to book an appointment to come see you( she starts to wailing loudly) Jasmine: You're being dramatic right now Ma. Okay, am sorry and welcome home Ma.(She wipes off her invisible tears and asks of the kids. She calls out to them and they come running to her and hugged her.) Zoya: How are you doing? Amelia: Am fine, how about you? Zoya: Am great. Camilla: Am fine and you? Zoya: Am great. Camilla: Let's talk about mommy and daddy. (They both pulled their grandma to the others to decuss their plan. Later that night Zoya went to Jasmine's room to talk to her. Christian was there with her.) Christian : Good evening Mom. Zoya : Good evening Christian. How are you doing? Christian: I'm good Mrs Zoya. Jasmine: I thought you would be in bed. Zoya: I just wanted to talk to you. Christian: I'll be in my room if you need anything. Zoya: Okay and you can call me mom. ( He left them alone) Why does he have a separate rooms? Jasmine: I think it's for the best and ma can you believe he wants another child? Zoya: That's good news but how do you expect to have a baby if you don't stay together. Jasmine: Ma? Zoya: Just so you know you've only given him one child. Don't be fooled by the number kids you have now. Jasmine: I know but those kids are a hand full. Having a baby will a lot on my plate.
Zoya: Children are a blessing from God and you talk as if they are a burden. Jasmine: They are not a burden on me but Maxson, Amelia and Camilla are still young and I want focus on them and raise them well. Zoya: I get you but a lot of women would die to have the chance to birth their babies but they can't. You were blessed with the ability to birth your kids but you're refusing to. Jasmine: I'll think about it. Zoya: Okay and about the wedding I would like it to happen again. I want to be apart of your big day. You know I wasn't invited to any of your weddings. So now I want to give hand you over to him I a grand way. I want his people to know you are not alone. I'm very sure he is the right man for him. Jasmine: How certain are you? Zoya: Am a hundred percent sure. You married him twice and I know you don't make a mistake twice.(Jasmine giggles) Jasmine: You know me very well and I love him so much and I willing to marry him again and again. I was just pulling his leg. Zoya: Then I've got a wedding to plan. I'll start my preparations. Jasmine: Not so soon . We(she and Christine) have to discuss first. Zoya: Okay, I'll invite everyone we know. Jasmine: Just a few people will do. Zoya: A few people will not be enough. I want the whole world to come. Jasmine:(she looks shocked) Fine , everyone you know can come but not the whole world. Zoya: Then I'll invite your parents to come.
(Jasmine's face darkens and she cuts off Zoya ) Everyone can come but not them. I don't want to see them at my wedding. I don't want to see them ever again. Zoya: They're your parents and no one can replace them not even me. Jasmine: You are doing a good job at that and am not complaining. Zoya: But... Jasmine: No buts. I would like to go to bed now. Goodnight Ma.(She lays down with her back to Zoya and she had no choice but to leave. The next day Zoya tried talking to her but she kept avoiding her.) Zoya: Wait! Jasmine. Jasmine: I have to get to work early. Zoya: I know you're avoiding me. Jasmine: No, ma am just really busy this morning so I'll talk to you later.( She left before and kept on avoiding her for days till Zoya was fed up and she matched into her room. ) Zoya : Am not leaving until you tell me exactly what your parents did to you apart from abandoning you. Jasmine: I don't want to talk about it(her tone was harsh and she was pissed. Zoya hugged her tight and she starts to cry. Zoya was surprised that Jasmine was crying. She had never seen her cry as an adult and so she tried her best to calm her down while questioning her about her parents.)
Zoya: Why don't you want your parents to attend your wedding?(She didn't reply so she proceeded to say) You know they regret abandoning you? And they've changed. Jasmine:They don't regret a thing and they haven't changed and they will never change. Ma am supposed to be happy on the day of my wedding. I am begging you not to ruin my big day for me.(Zoya didn't say a word about Jasmine's parents again until the day of the wedding when they arrived at the event. They arrived just in time for the reception of the wedding and Jasmine looked displeased and didn't enjoy the party. Later that night her parents (Mr and Mrs Santa Maria came to talk congratulate her on her big day ) Mrs Santa Maria: You looked good today. Mr. Santander Maria: Yes you looked perfect today. Jasmine: Thanks, I guess? I'll book you the next flight so you can get home and rest. You must be so tied. Zoya: No, they are staying here . Jasmine: I am not sleeping under the same roof with them. They might just kill me tonight. (Everyone was shocked at what she said and the look on her Mr and Mrs Santa Maria's faces deemed.) Zoya : You shouldn't say such stuff to your parents. Jasmine: I am so tired and I need to sleep . I've had a very stressful day and I want to sleep in peace and you (Mr and Mrs Santa Maria) want to deprive me of that as well? Fine keep the house to your selves. I'll just leave. Are you (Christin)coming with me or not? Mr. Santa Maria: Don't worry we will leave. (Zoya booked a hotel for Mr and Mrs Santa Maria and scolded Jasmine for sending them away)
