"STOP THIS—!" Mygarth screamed, surging forward for one final attack.
Alex raised a hand.
"Kneel."
The voice was calm, but it crushed.
Mygarth's body froze in mid-air—like gravity had suddenly multiplied by a thousand.
He slammed face-first into the ground with a bone-rattling THUD, forced flat into a bowing position. Dust spiraled around him. His arms twitched, trying to resist. His knees shook violently, cracking stone.
"I—will—not—" he growled through gritted teeth.
Alex placed a boot gently on the back of his head.
"You will."
Black chains burst from the sigil on the ground, wrapping around the demon's limbs. Sealing magic laced into every rune. They hissed with power grander than a Moartla should wield.
Mygarth screamed—but not in pain.
In humiliation.
The proud Viscount of the Seventh Ring, who once challenged angels, was now bound like a servant.
Like a dog.
Like a slave.
The chains dragged him upright, kneeling at Alex's feet, head bowed. His voice was low, trembling now.
"…I yield…"
Alex stepped back, and the chains tightened in agreement.
"I know," he said simply.
Mygarth raised his head slightly, eyes narrowed. "What now… master?"
"You'll behave," Alex said coldly. "And you'll work."
He turned to Tony, who had finally stepped closer, his repulsors dimmed.
"I told you," Alex said with a faint smirk, "I don't just summon demons. I own them."
Tony stared at the kneeling creature, his HUD still flashing uncertain readings. "You… this is really a demon?"
Alex shrugged casually. "Yes. He's a noble-class demon. Only the low-ranking ones look like monsters—the kind you see in movies. These ones... they were made to look human. Refined. Dangerous."
Just then, the chains binding Mygarth began to melt into his skin like liquid metal, embedding a pulsating sigil across his chest—glowing with a fusion of shadowy black and radiant white. The mark of Alex's ownership.
"From now on," Alex said, folding his arms, "you're my butler."
Mygarth blinked. His crimson eyes flickered faintly, his mind momentarily blank as he processed what had just happened. And then he felt it—power surging through his veins. Not his own. Alex's. A darkness far deeper than his own reserves. He could feel it reinforcing his spells, strengthening his control over shadows.
'This is… greater darkness manipulation?' Mygarth's pupils shrank. 'Only a Duke-rank or higher demon should be able to share this level of energy… so why—why does this human have it?'
He stared at the back of Alex's head, the gears in his mind turning.
'He looks like he's a Count-rank Demon at most. But if that's true… and he can share this power, then…'
The demon swallowed hard.
'Don't tell me… he's a Demon Lord in the making?!'
A strange excitement took root in his chest. For the first time in eons, he bowed his head not out of obligation—but anticipation.
"…As you command, Master," he said clearly.
Alex gave him a short nod.
Mygarth, now cloaked in obedience and black flames, vanished into ghostly fire—off to await Alex's next command at the manor.
Tony blinked again. "That guy was… weird," he muttered under his breath.
Alex turned slightly, catching the comment. "Oh, and by the way," he said casually, "he already knows the way to my place, So I sent him home for now."
Tony chuckled. "So I guess that means we're heading home too?"
Alex nodded. "Yeah. But before that—" he looked over, his expression unreadable, "—do you want a demon servant too?"
Tony paused, surprised. "You can just… hand those out?"
Alex smirked. "Not really. But I think you'd survive the process. You're strong enough now to handle a lower contract. And you're not exactly helpless if things go wrong."
Tony thought for a moment, then grinned. "I won't mind a pet from hell. Could be fun."
Alex nodded approvingly. He raised his hand, forming a glowing seal on the ground beneath them. Complex arcane lines pulsed in a wide circle, forming what looked like a demonic summoning array integrated into the magical grid.
"Just step inside," Alex said. "And drip a bit of your blood at the center."
Tony raised an eyebrow, but stepped in without hesitation. He pricked his palm with a blade and let a few drops of blood fall onto the glowing sigil.
The circle drank the blood instantly.
The ground shook gently. The wind stilled.
Then the sigil darkened, pulsing with life—and in the next moment, something rose from the shadows.
A form began to coalesce—a large, sinuous creature with batlike wings and an elongated body. Gleaming black scales shimmered like polished obsidian. Its eyes opened slowly, burning a deep violet-red. It had no mouth, but Tony felt the grin form in his head.
It landed with a hiss of dark mist, bowing its horned head toward him.
Tony took a slow step back, his HUD frantically scanning the creature.
"What the hell is that?" he asked.
"That," Alex said calmly, "is an Evil Eye. One of the oldest types of lesser demons. Don't be fooled by the name—despite their look, they're one of the most loyal and intelligent breeds in Hell."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "You're telling me I now have an eldritch-looking eyeball dragon as a pet?"
Alex grinned. "Pretty much. Bonded to your blood. It won't turn on you unless you command it to."
The Evil Eye blinked slowly. Then, as if sensing Tony's unease, it coiled around him protectively, resting its head near his shoulder.
Tony laughed. "Well damn… I guess I do have a pet from hell now."
"Name it," Alex said simply. "Once you do, it's yours."
Tony thought for a second. "Let's go with… Spectra."
The demon purred—a sound like static and thunder fused together—and vanished into Tony's shadow, merging completely.
Alex nodded in approval. "He'll come when you call."
"Alright then," Tony said, brushing off his hands with a smirk. "We just nuked eight bases, adopted demons, and flew under every radar in the world. What's next?"
Alex turned slightly, his eyes glinting faintly. "Well, your pet's powers."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "Yes, I was just about to ask—what kind of superpower does my hell-pet come with?"
Before Alex could reply, Spectra suddenly rose out from Tony's shadow like a swirl of black smoke, shifting into a sleek form that perched lightly on his shoulder. Its single massive eye glowed a deep crimson as it gently leaned its forehead to Tony's, and for a brief second—
Tony saw darkness.
Not empty, dead black… but a swirling abyss filled with countless eyes, watching, whispering, waiting. His vision blurred and then sharpened unnaturally—everything around him became clearer, as if the world had peeled away one layer of illusion. He staggered slightly as the moment ended and the connection broke.
"What… was that?" he asked, blinking and rubbing his temples.
Alex stepped forward, calmly observing the change. "He just shared a part of his power with you. His will, his core essence. Let me see what that gave you..."
He closed his eyes briefly, then smirked. "Ooh, not bad. You've unlocked 'Eye of Darkness.'"
