Dave rolled his eyes at Natasha, who was glaring at him with concern.
"I'm helping her," he said calmly. "That black liquid is impurity—being expelled from her body. After this, her body will be much purer… and stronger."
Natasha's expression softened as she glanced at Meilin, who was still slumped forward on the bed, black liquid continuing to drip from her nose. She had already filled half a bucket.
Dave crossed his arms thoughtfully.
"Why does she release it from her nose, though?" he muttered. "Most fantasy stories have impurities coming out of pores…"
He looked at her with mild disbelief. "Just how many impurities did she have?"
Another few minutes passed as Meilin expelled the last of the foul-smelling dark sludge. Her breath steadied, and a pure white mist slowly rose from her body like the breath of life itself.
Finally, her eyes fluttered open.
"Brother… I think… I saw the stars in my spirit," she whispered.
As she lifted her hand, the White Shore Lily appeared above her palm—but it had changed.
The lily now shimmered with golden veins running through its petals. The base glowed with a deep oceanic light, and its texture sparkled like crystal emerald. A soft mist of silver and pale blue light surrounded it, and every movement of the petals left afterimages of light.
Dave stared in satisfaction and nodded. "It seems your Martial Spirit has evolved."
A system notification flashed in front of him:

He stared at Meilin's glowing spirit in disbelief and muttered under his breath,
'System, don't you dare tell me she's secretly the daughter of destiny or some Tang San-level protagonist…'
Watching Meilin glow with newfound power, Dave sighed internally.
"She was supposed to be the normal one… the one I recruited for balance, not this talent-exploding prodigy who keeps getting divine boosts."
He shook his head and turned to her.
"Alright, Meilin. Go clean yourself up and bring me back the book I gave you—it doesn't suit you anymore. I'll get you something better."
Meilin nodded shyly and headed off to wash, muttering about how bad she smelled now.
Natasha raised an eyebrow from the side, arms crossed.
"What the hell did you feed her, Dave? How is she this strong already?"
Dave shrugged. "I just helped her purify her body to reach the same foundation level as us—around rank 10. But who knew she had a hidden bloodline that would activate during the cleansing process?"
He leaned back and smirked. "Guess fate really likes her."
"Can we use it?" Natasha asked curiously.
Dave shook his head. "No, we're already perfect tens. We don't need it," he said simply, before turning and heading back to his room.
Dave retrieved the old cultivation scroll that was once perfect for Meilin but was now beneath her new standard. He slid it back into his inventory, thinking it might come in handy later.
"Okay, System," he said, settling into his seat. "Show me the best cultivation technique suitable for Meilin now."
The interface shimmered as the System Shop refreshed, displaying a refined list with glowing green and blue filters marked for compatibility.
Dave scanned all of them and bought one that is not just use able by Meilin but by him too.

Without hesitation, he poured a stream of his spirit power into the cover.

Golden runes lit up across the book's surface. A circle of radiant script expanded from it, floating above his palm before shrinking rapidly into a single beam of light. That beam shot straight into his forehead, and Dave closed his eyes as waves of knowledge rushed into his consciousness.
His body didn't move, but inside his mind, glowing meridian paths formed—mapped in crystal clarity. Concepts of moon-phase cultivation, crystalized energy flow, and deep life resonance planted themselves in his spirit sea like seeds ready to bloom.
A moment later, Dave opened his eyes fully, the golden glow from the technique fading from his pupils.
"Now… I should pass this on to her—and the others as well," he murmured as he stood up, stretching slightly.
One by one, he handed out the neutral cultivation scrolls and other ones he have bought to each person, embedding his spirit power into them so they could receive the knowledge the same way he did. The moment they accepted and channeled energy into the scrolls, light flashed—streaming into their minds with clarity.
Their eyes widened with excitement. Without delay, they each went to a corner of the house or courtyard to begin cultivating. The atmosphere changed instantly—filled with determination and raw soul energy surging like a rising tide.
Dave watched it all with calm satisfaction.
