Kaito smiles brightly pointing down. "That's him! That's Yukki!" Kaito says. Nanami finally looking up from her book.
"Now do not worry, they won't be harming one another, precautions are in place." The professor explains. With a shimmer. A sigil appears behind him coating the two in a barrier. "This is a protective spell, which nullifies all pain."
With another wave of his hand, The hall is transformed, seats sliding about, circling the stand which was now an arena.
"Introduce yourselves to the class will you." He gestured.
Yukki turns to the crowd and bows. "Yukki Reitz, first year." He introduces.
"Raven Fort, first year." The other young man bows.
"Take your stances. We will be holding this within. One step, rules."
One step is a magical fighting sport. The fighters must step inside of a small ring with the leading foot forwards. It's best for training quick reflexes.
"Begin!"
Yukki opens up jumping his shoulder, the air beside him began shimmering, A green energy blast is fired out. Raven reacts quickly leaping back. "Mudwall!" He chants as he raises his arms crafting a wall. Yukki dashes forwards steps sure.
He rotates his foot, without a chant the wall opens up. Yukki charges forwards. From the side of the boy another blast is homing straight for him. Yukki raises his blade high.
Nanami jots it down. "So he's using the spatial magic as a surehit, to trap his opponent in a situation desirable for himself."
Yukki slashes at Raven. Raven not wanting to lose easily, clashes blades with raven and then the classroom shifts back. Raven was struck by the energy blast, Yukki being the victor of their bout.
The boys both nod. "That was amazing, Yukki, I still can't use spatial magic like that." Raven compliments. Yukki laughs. "Oh it's really nothing."
Kaito looks at Yukki with a big smile on his face. "Wow, Yukki got so much better, all this new magic stuff... there's so much to remember!" Kaito says already forgetting the professors long speech.
Yukki looks up into the stands. "Wait a min... Kaito?" He questions. Kaito looks back and sees Yukki noticed him. He waved happily at his friend and Yukki furrows his brow. "Kaito."
In the hall Yukki storms through the crowds of students. One he spots Kaito he quickly grabs him, pulling him aside into a different room.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Yukki yells at him.
Kaito seems confused. "I missed you too?" He questions.
Yukki grits his teeth. "Kaito you're a wanted man, You destroyed the bridge of Veloria, ransacked Mozam, Stole a crystia bulb, KILLED A MAGISTRATE, and you even kidnaped Nyla, how could you do all of this?!" Yukki yells, hand just itching for his blade.
Kaito is shcoked he's been framed for all of that stuff. "No, i didn't do ALL of that stuff, but i need your help Yukki." Kaito explains.
Yukki scans Kaito's face and sighs. He knew Kaito so he didn't know what to believe.
Nanami and the others enter the room. "Yukki, was it? We can explain everything, where is your dorm?" She asks.
Yukki backs off from Kaito. "Beastling? never mind that, it's in building C, Room 103" Yukki says.
"You all better be there at the end of the day, and explain EVERYTHING, or else i'm reporting you." Yukki says before he stroms out of the room.
Rika nudges Kaito. "Happy meeting?" She teases.
Nanami gives her a light push. "I think while we're here it'd be best for us to prepare with the school equipment. They have a training hall.... along with a library and laboratory." She says.
"I know it's hard to wait-" "No problem!" Kaito quickly says.
He drags Dante away with him towards the training room.
Rika shrugs. "Well i'm gonna go to the school cafeteria, get some free rich folk food." She says wandering off.
Toni shakes his head. "I don't know how you fellas do it, i'm going to the infirmary. I still taste my spine."
Kaito and Dante arrive at the training hall and it's crowded with people. They decide to wait until later and return once it's empty.
Kaito sits in the large room littered with weapons, strange machines. He focues up. "How did those words work?" He questions.
"MUDWALL!" He shouts trying to build a earth wall but instead a lil poof of ice leaves his hand. Dante tilts his head at this. "Kaito i don't think i've ever encountered magic like yours, you're not like any copy mage i've ever seen before." Dante says.
Kaito shrugs. "How so?" He asks.
Dante thinks. "Like, usually copy mages will lose the ability to use, an element after some time has passed, but it's like every magic you come across you have constant access or something." He thinks.
Dante then wonders. "How much magic can you even use?" Dante asks. Before Kaito can answer the door is tossed open and Nanami wanders in.
"A question i too had." She says with her magical screen in the air. "I was reading up on the random nature of magic, and it made you come to mind Kaito." Nanami says as she pulls out a board and begins writing down a bunch of calculations Kaito doesn't understand. "I believe you are some sort of archmage, but since you're so young you cannot use magic reliably."
Nanami hands him a slip of paper. "Try using this spell." She says. "Due to the random nature of your magic, slow down and think clearly about what you want then recite the spell."
Kaito reads it. He does as Nanami instructed, Once he opens his eyes he shouted the spell. "IGNIS!" He yelled out.
His entire arm burned with flames, Before he had even noticed he let off a blazing spell stronger then anything he had ever used before. The flames raged and exploded into the reinforced training walls.
Dante was left shocked, and Kaito's arm was left shaking from the sudden burst of power. He begins laughing. "That was awesome! If I master this i'll be one hundred times stronger!" He yells.
Nanami nods. "The science here is also extrodinary, i can craft something beyond my prototype, i'm sure it'll aid in the battle against Renji." She explains.
Later Kaito and all of his friends arrive at Yukki's dorm. His leg jumps with annoyance, just having them all here at all.
Dante decides to break the silence. "Oh, we've never formally met, i'm Dante." He says holding his hand out.
Yukki looks at him and shakes his head. "I'm not interested in getting to know you, I want answers, Im a tad annoyed with how i trusted you and Nyla is missing."
Nanami nods. "That's fair, but how much of the situation do you know?" She asks.
Yukki sighs. "Kaito and the onslaught guild have been stirring trouble with the empire. The guild stole the bulb and the magistrate was after Kaito, but Kaito had other plans and killed the man." Yukki says.
Kaito stands from his chair. "That's wrong! The crystal, was taken by the magic guy, and then he-" Nanami stops him. "I got it." She says.
Nanami explains everything that's happened to them so far, and Yukki sits by listening.
"Come on Yukki, we've traveled and eaten food together, you can trust me." Kaito says. Yukki looks back at him and sighs. "Fine, so was VCeloria's bridge a frame too?" Yukki asks.
Kaito smiles brightly. "No i did that one." He says happily. Yukki actuallu cracks a smile too. "Guess i really can trust you." Yukki says.
Then Yukki crosses his arms still thinking. "It's a leap for sure, but how's the entire empire just gonna believe your word."
Kaito beams. "Renji himself is gonna admit it, i'm gonna beat him to a pulp!"
Rika shivers remembering getting bounced off the ground.
"So you guys leaving right away? You only have like five days max the empire is starting to march." Yukki says and everyone begins panicking.
Looking past everyone Yukki can see Kaito is calm. "You're serious about fighting him, that guys a monster you know?" Yukki asks and Kaito nods. The fierce look in Kaito's eye shows he's dead serious.
"Could you help us out for three days, Renji is crazy strong, this place has that room I can use to get stronger." Kaito says. Dante agreeing. "I wanna work hard too."
Nanami smiles. "Learning to fight in just a week is near impossible, but if I can craft my weapon, i'm sure we can win."
Rika lays back in Yukki's bed. "I can make some Blastie while we're here."
Toni laughs at them all. "I ain't one for training friend, but i'll play music for you all."
Yukki looks at them all. "What a weird group of people," looking at Kaito he smiles, "Though i guess they're perfect for you, huh."
"All right i'll help, it's a big risk though, but if it saves Nyla, Miss Nyla, then im all for it."
