Chapter 158 - Serena Prince: Love of Magic - chapter 136

Author's Notes: Chapter edited and corrected by Scott Fellman.

Bella Pov

"Last chance to turn around." I said as I looked at the castle below us.

"Cissy is family," Ravel said as if that explained everything, and I smiled slightly, because yes, that explained everything.

"I won't stop you, but if you force yourself to fight, everyone will know that we attacked Honest's Castle, and your new abilities too." I forced myself to say. Ravel snorted and tossed her hair back with her hand.

"Let them know, let them fear the Princes, let them know not to mess with them or Pentagram City," Ravel said firmly, a huge, toothy grin spreading across her face. She was definitely nervous, but there wasn't a hint of doubt in her voice.

"Very well. Let's get this shitty act started." I smiled bloodthirstily. I was dressed in my suit and white trench coat, along with a white scarf around my neck. My snood was too valuable to get blood on it. My weapons were still locked away, and I only had my white gloves on.

Ravel, beside me, was wearing her lilac dress with dark purple details and fire designs at the bottom. On her back were three feather-shaped extensions to mimic phoenixes. She held Ryuujin Jakka in her hand, still sheathed, but out of its fan shape. And she was obviously barefoot, her feet leaving a small trail of fire, lit up, prepared for any eventuality.

Once Sera had given us our task of retrieving Cissy, Ravel and I teleported as close as possible while using a copper cloud thanks to Sera's medallion. We were completely hidden from any possible detection, as evidenced by the fact that no one had come to greet us.

Now that we were closer, I could sense Cissy through the mental link. She was at the bottom of the castle. I could feel the anti-teleportation wards they had around them to prevent her from escaping. But that wouldn't prevent us from appearing; they worked fundamentally differently.

Still, I did nothing to rescue her. I simply removed the copper cloud protecting us and ignited my demonic power as we descended. I could feel exactly how everyone in the castle immediately reacted. At the same instant, a person teleported in front of us.

Syura.

Lucius was right. Syura, Honest's son, was involved. Thin but muscular, green eyes, spiky white hair. He had an X-shaped scar on his face and two small horns protruding from each side of his temple.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here," Syura sneered with a cocky smile. "And I thought Lady Prince cared about her cute servants; instead, she only sent her queen and a bishop. What happened to the other members? Or… what happened to Lady Prince herself? Are you busy? " he asked mockingly.

"He's definitely working with Kokabiel, or at least knows what he's doing well enough to use his plans to her advantage. He knows Serena is in Kuoh right now," Lucius said mentally, and I clicked my tongue.

"I don't need you to tell me the obvious." I growled in annoyance, but looked at Syura coldly.

"To bother my king with something as irrelevant as you? I'm all it takes to finish you off and everyone else who follows you," I said coldly. Syura didn't even flinch at my words, just smiled broadly.

"And how will you do it, Impaler Queen? You're at a disadvantage. After so many Rating Games, your beloved ability is no mystery. You have to be in a territory that you consider 'yours' in order to use it. It's a rather impressive ability, I'll say, but it's a defensive ability at best." Syura mocked.

"If you think that's the only thing I can do, you're really an idiot." I said dryly, almost disappointed by his 'strategy'. Syura hummed amusedly.

"Maybe so, maybe not. You know, your ability really isn't a problem. The main problem is your apparent 'immortality'." Syura snorted. "Not just yours, but Miss Phenex's over there, staring at me with a terrifying face." Syura sneered. "So, we have no choice but to play dirty."

Syura snapped his fingers. A teleportation circle immediately appeared next to him. A dark-skinned, blonde-haired woman appeared beside him, but that was the least of it. The important thing was that she was holding and restraining Narcissa in her arms.

"Hello, sister." Narcissa said mentally with a hint of amusement. Though her expression barely showed a hint of reaction, it was completely flat and emotionless.

"As you can see, your sister is completely safe and sound, and you can take her if you just do me a favor," Syura said with a triumphant smile, as if she'd already won. "We just want to get to Prince Island. Nothing extraordinary. It'll only take a few seconds, and then you can take your sister safely," Syura said softly, though the dangerous glint in her eyes told a different story.

"He's lying. He wants to get onto the island, but he won't let go of Narcissa. He has plans for us too," Lucius said immediately.

"All this, just to get onto an island?" I mocked him. Syura shrugged.

"As much as I hate to admit it, Lady Prince is wonderful with her magic and defensive barriers, especially for a succubus like her." Syura scoffed as she practically spat out the word 'succubus' like she was talking garbage.

"Sounds like a performance issue." I laughed mockingly at him. I could see Syura's eye twitch.

"My patience has its limits, Impaler Queen. The island in exchange for your sister. I promise we won't touch the commoner devils in the city, even if they deserve it for being traitors." Syura growled. I laughed lightly.

"This talk is boring me. Let's get this over with." I said boredly. Syura smiled widely as she licked her lips.

"Excellent, I knew you'd come to your senses!" Syura said happily, as if he had already won.

"Ravel." I gave the signal mentally. Ravel tensed beside me and prepared to accelerate.

"Leave it to me," Narcissa said amusedly. Ravel and I froze slightly.

"Mez, darling, do it," Narcissa said in a regal voice. Syura looked confused for a second, then Mez let go of Cissy and spun around in Syura's direction, spinning her around with all her might. Syura's eyes widened in disbelief, but she managed to raise both arms to cover herself.

The so-called Mez kicked Syura hard, sending him flying several dozen meters into the air. Once Syura was clear, Cissy flew almost lazily in our direction, Mez following her like an overeager and stupid puppy, if the glazed look on her face was anything to go by.

"Sister." I said with a proud smile on my face.

"Bella, you were taking too long. I had everything planned." Cissy mocked as she stood behind me, Mez acting as a bodyguard. I could hear Lucius's cheerful laughter in the back of my mind and his obvious arousal toward my sister for her performance, disgusting. The only one confused was Ravel.

"Mez?! What the hell was that?! Are you betraying us?!" Syura shouted angrily. Just as he expected, Mez didn't answer.

"Sorry, not sorry. Dear Mez is completely mine now. It's just a little brainwashing," Cissy mocked almost lazily. Syura's eyes widened.

"You-! You're not just a stupid seamstress!" Syura growled angrily. Cissy lifted a box.

"Of course not, I was a member of the Golden Dawn, I'm a daughter of the Blacks, a Prince family, I have my own tricks," Cissy mocked haughtily.

"You're sexy, my love," Lucius said huskily. I gagged mentally.

"I'm confused too," Ravel said honestly.

"I may be a non-combatant, whatever you want to call me, and I'll definitely never be on the front lines, but I never neglected my magical studies. With shared talents, it's much easier. It's just the Imperius Curse. It was awfully easy; He barely had any mental defenses to try and resist it." Cissy snorted mentally.

"Well done, Cissy." I purred proudly. Cissy strutted slightly.

"Free Mez," Syura hissed. I smiled broadly at him.

"I have a better idea. Why did we beat up the hornets' nest to get them to come out and play?" I said sadistically. I didn't wait for him to answer. I flexed my fingers in anticipation as the Gura Gura no Mi tickled them. I'd wanted to unleash the full power of my Devil Fruit for a long time.

I looked at the castle and without hesitation, I 'grabbed' the entire area as if it were tangible. The air offered resistance as my fingers grasped it, and I only smiled harder and gritted my teeth as I pulled harder.

Finally, the air gave way as if it were shattering. It didn't seem to do anything for a few seconds before the tremors began, the sky itself seeming to shatter. Syura looked at me in confusion for a few seconds before looking down at the ground. The tremors were weak before they began to rumble loudly. Kilometers of land rumbled as the tremors grew stronger, and finally, the earth started to tear apart.

"What did you just do?!" Syura growled as he looked at the castle. I just smiled widely as I looked at my work with sadistic glee.

Large fissures began to form, breaking up all the surrounding terrain. They seemed completely random, but quickly began to form concentric rings with extreme speed.

And finally, it happened, the whole Honest Castle started to tilt, the rings also shook and began to tilt randomly, but it wasn't an island. Underneath the ground, there was just more earth, so the more they tilted, the more friction they caused to themselves, and eventually they started to collapse on themselves.

The earthen rings immediately shattered, creating a truly spectacular devastation. And the circle where Honest Castle stood was no exception. The surrounding ground gave way and began to crumble, the castle began to fall in on itself, and finally, it happened.

A large number of devils shot out and flew out of the castle, a few hundred of them. Everyone stared in disbelief around them. It took a few more seconds, but the entire castle, and miles around it, was utterly destroyed.

I watched everything with an ecstasy of pleasure. I couldn't help but shudder considerably. I'm definitely wet. I'd better get this over with so I can go to Sera.

The devils who had escaped from the castle looked around, completely confused and utterly terrified by what had just happened, not understanding exactly what had happened. Syura's face, on the other hand, twisted into a grimace of fury, but I could see a twinge of fear in his eyes. I smiled sadistically at him.

I could feel Cissy's exasperation flashing through my mind, but also how pleased she was. I didn't even have to try to understand Lucius; his sadistic laughter spoke volumes. Ravel seemed genuinely surprised, but she also seemed pleased with the outcome.

Only Enid seemed to harbor a bit of disbelief and a slight horror, not towards me, I noticed, but at the 'casual' destruction that could be caused. I guess she was finally realizing the power levels we were at now and what we would face.

Still, Enid sent some supportive sentiments, but cut the link. Yes, she definitely didn't want to see what was going to happen despite being completely okay with it happening. I just smiled at that; it was more than enough.

"So, you were saying you had the advantage?" I asked sadistically as I casually grabbed the air and made the sky tremble once more.

"Damn bastard! You son of a bitch! I'll kill you! I'll kill you! " Syura growled angrily. "You'll pay, you bitch! Come here now and kill that whore! " Syura exclaimed. Several of the devils responded to Syura's call and moved immediately.

I quickly looked at the arriving devils. Yes, they were all part of The Empire, from Akame ga Kill.

Next to Syura were the entire Wild Hunt, but there were also Sten and Ibara, the last two members of the Rakshasa Demons. To their side, slightly separated from them, were half of the Jaegers: Run, Stylish, Seryu, and Bols. But next to them were three other people I didn't recognize.

"Three Beasts. Also under Esdeath's command, I guess it doesn't change here. Jaegers and three beasts are together as if they were acquaintances; they are also reincarnated devils, or at least part of the same Peerage. Surely under Esdeath." Lucius informed immediately.

"Anything we should be worried about?" Ravel asked immediately.

"Not really, Daidara is just strong, Liver has pretty powerful water control, but nothing to worry about, and Nyau has emotion control with her flute, nothing their defenses can get through." Lucius said almost dismissively as he fed us some data mentally. I ignored him when I didn't see anything significant.

"Mez betrayed us?" Sten asked, crossing his arms. Syura clicked his tongue.

"The seamstress bitch has a form of mind control. She brainwashed Mez's damn brain," Syura spat out in annoyance.

"Mind control? Mez let herself be mind controlled? I don't believe it," Sten added with a frown. Cissy laughed lightly.

"Mez, darling, bite your tongue." Cissy laughed. I couldn't help but notice that her sadistic laugh sounded just like mine, and that only made me smile widely. Mez didn't even hesitate as she opened her mouth, stuck her tongue out, and bit down hard. The tip of Mez's tongue flew out as copious amounts of blood sprayed from Mez's severed tongue.

I could see everyone's eyes wide open at that action. I almost laughed out loud at their reactions, but I could hear Ravel's sigh.

"Cissy, please don't kill someone." Ravel chided, almost sounding disappointed even with her huge, toothy grin. "Sera wants them alive to experiment on," Ravel said before reaching out and placing her hand inside Syura's bleeding mouth. Fire erupted from Ravel and cauterized the wound, not even caring that it was burning the inside of her mouth.

Syura barely flinched while under the influence. Ravel finally removed her hand and looked at it with disgust at the bloodstains. She set her hand on fire once more, evaporating all traces of blood. I looked at Syura. The wound had stopped, but her entire mouth had varying degrees of burns. I just smiled widely.

Ravel, Sera's fiancée, knew she was part of The Company's control, but she cared enough for her, as did Enid. But that action raised her respect level a couple of notches. My smile was so wide it was almost painful.

"I'm sorry, dear." Cissy apologized to Ravel, although her smile and tone of voice said she wasn't sorry in the least.

"Bastard." Syura growled as he glared at us.

"Well, shall we start this bloody feast?" I asked as I let out my bloodlust from hundreds of consumed souls while I took out my weapons. I had Kazikli Bey in my right hand, and Jackal in my left hand.

Then I let my Conqueror's Haki spread out with all its might. My willpower crashed like a truck into the will of all the Devils. Syura and his group, and Esdeath's Peerage, gritted their teeth and resisted my Haki.

But the devils behind them? They began to drop like flies, foaming at the mouth.

This will be fun!

Author's Note: And I'm back!! It was a nice, much-needed little vacation! Chapter scheduling is back to normal!

I was going to ramble on about my vacation, but I'd better leave it aside this time. I went on some outings with my family, with friends, to some birthday parties, like my great-aunt's, who just turned 90, and more. I had fun, I rested, and everything was fine!
