The darkness on the golem's surface had spread across a significant portion of one side, the saturation having moved from the initial contact points outward through the material's internal channels.
The water was slowly spreading but the Golem was yet to notice this as it kept trying to attack and land a blow on Lin who kept proving that it was too nimble to be hit by the Golem's attempts.
At the deepest saturation point, where the water had been working longest, the surface was visibly different in texture. It was not wet in the obvious sense but darker, denser-looking, carrying the specific appearance of stone that had absorbed what stone absorbed when water had time to reach deep.
Lin hit it there again.
