After spending a tender moment with Xiao Wu, Zong and Xiao Wu returned to Zong's courtyard.
Zong assumed Xiao Wu would cling to him all night, and he didn't mind. He had planned to call Zhu Zhuqing the next day to distribute the immortal herbs and, at the same time, reveal his relationship with Xiao Wu. After all, fairness is key.
But things took an unexpected turn.
Upon hearing that Ning Rongrong had asked Sword Douluo to save Zong and that Shrek Academy might have gone to Blue Tyrant Academy in Heaven Dou City, Xiao Wu immediately understood.
Surprisingly, she kicked Zong out of the room.
As she explained, although she wasn't happy about sharing Zong with other women, Zhu Zhuqing had come all the way to find him. Plus, Zhu Zhuqing and Zong had confirmed their relationship before she and Zong did.
So, for tonight, Xiao Wu decided to let Zong go and check on Zhu Zhuqing's safety.
Looking at the dark night sky, Zong smiled wryly. Fortunately, Heaven Dou City didn't have a curfew; otherwise, getting into the city would've been a hassle.
When he arrived at the city gates, Zong casually glanced at a notice board and saw that Blue Tyrant Academy's recruitment notice from two months ago had been taken down. "Looks like Blue Tyrant Academy has probably turned into Shrek Academy by now," he thought.
Following the directions from the old notice and after asking a few passersby, Zong soon arrived at his destination—Blue Tyrant Academy, or rather, Shrek Academy now.
Looking at the academy's grand entrance made of white marble, Zong noticed that the original sign for "Blue Tyrant Advanced Spirit Master Academy" had been removed, replaced by nine gold characters reading "Shrek Advanced Spirit Master Academy."
With a slight smile, Zong mused, "Fate really is a mysterious thing."
At the academy's gates, Zong quickly located the guard post.
"Hey there, you don't look like one of the academy's students," said the middle-aged guard, who appeared to be in his forties. The guard had worked at the academy for over ten years, long before Blue Tyrant Academy became Shrek Academy. He practically knew every student's face by heart, including the newly arrived Shrek Seven Devils.
Zong nodded and didn't feel like playing the typical game of showing off or putting the guard in his place. The guard's attitude was respectful, not dismissive.
"I'm a student from Heaven Dou Royal Academy," Zong explained. "I'm here to see my girlfriend, Zhu Zhuqing. She's one of the new students who came with Dean Flender."
"Zhu Zhuqing… Flender…" The guard's expression turned thoughtful as he recalled.
Moments later, the guard's eyes lit up. "You mean the new Dean Flender?"
Zong nodded. "Yes, they came from Suotuo City. I believe Dean Flender knows your former Dean Liu Erlong."
Hearing Zong's correct details, the guard had no reason to doubt him. "Alright, please register here."
As he spoke, the guard called over a nearby female student to guide Zong.
Walking along the academy path, Zong turned to his guide, smiling. "Thank you for your help, miss."
The girl, clearly shy, wasn't stunningly beautiful, but she had a delicate, pretty appearance. Facing such a handsome guy like Zong, she blushed furiously, almost as if steam was coming off her head.
"N-no problem," she stammered shyly.
Zong smiled but didn't say more.
Soon, they arrived at the entrance of the female dormitory. The girl stopped and turned to Zong.
"I'm sorry, but male students aren't allowed inside the female dormitory. Please wait here. I know where the new girls are staying, so I'll go and call Zhu Zhuqing for you."
With that, the girl quickly sped into the dormitory.
Watching her go, Zong chuckled softly to himself. "What a shy girl."
The sight of a male student standing in front of the female dormitory naturally attracted attention.
At this moment, Zong was dressed in a luxurious black outfit. Thirteen years old and much taller than six months ago, he now stood nearly 1.8 meters tall. His long, blue-silver hair cascaded down to his shoulders, and his skin was even fairer than before. His appearance had grown strikingly handsome, bearing a slight resemblance to the former Blue Silver Emperor. If Ah Yin were still alive, people might mistake them for mother and son, or even siblings.
Before long, a crowd of girls gathered around Zong.
Even Zong, usually calm, felt a bit overwhelmed. At Nouoding Academy, Xiao Wu's presence had kept other girls at bay. Then, at Heaven Dou Royal Academy, being part of the Emperor Team meant no girls dared approach him. But now, at Shrek Academy, with no Xiao Wu or Emperor Team status, a swarm of girls flocked to him.
Zong couldn't help but think, "Being handsome really is a hassle sometimes."
The commotion outside the girls' dormitory naturally caught the attention of the academy's male students.
Leading a group of followers was Tai Long, a representative of the academy's single bachelors.
With his posse in tow, Tai Long pushed his way through the crowd of girls to confront Zong.
When Tai Long finally got a good look at Zong's face, his eyes almost popped out of his head. This guy was even more of a heartthrob than that new student, Dai Mubai, or Oscar.
While neither of them had challenged Tai Long's "campus heartthrob" title, this newcomer was a real threat. Dai Mubai was a bit effeminate, supposedly preferring men, and Oscar, being a food system spirit master, didn't dare compete for the heartthrob title. And as for other students like Tang San? Too unattractive to even compete with Tai Long.
But this new guy? He was clearly a threat to Tai Long's position as "campus heartthrob."
Tai Long's eyes flashed with determination, and in a gruff voice, he said, "Kid, I heard you're here to stir up trouble at our academy?"
It was obvious to anyone that Tai Long was trying to pick a fight.
"Causing Trouble?" Zong raised an eyebrow, turning toward the source of the voice. Standing before him was a tall, broad-shouldered youth, about 1.8 meters tall, with a sturdy physique and short, chestnut-colored hair.
Seeing Tai Long, the first thought that crossed Zong's mind was, "Why does this guy look like a gorilla?"
