Boss Gong of course knew that if their mother found out it was sister's plants that hurt those bad boys, she wouldn't beat sister to death, but a lesson was inevitable.
He just wanted to make his sister aware of how to hide her abilities, to avoid getting a beating if the adults found out, so he intentionally exaggerated the consequences.
