When the darkness perfectly blended into the shadows put down the communication magic crystal in its hand, another woman seamlessly merged with the shadows, carrying a scythe larger than her body, arrived before the darkness.
"Are you really planning to help that guy ascend to a saint?"
The scythe woman asked bluntly, with no trace of deference, hardly sounding like she was speaking to her director.
The darkness glanced at the scythe woman indifferently, unaffected by her attitude, and replied.
"I will help, certainly, but not now," the darkness said casually, "Our goals have not been achieved; how can we easily let Yarad have his way?"
"I knew you wouldn't be so kind," the scythe woman scoffed, "But do you truly have a way to aid him in becoming a saint?"
What the scythe woman truly wanted to say was, if such a method exists, why don't you use it yourself?
To this, the darkness responded.
