When Jimmy and the others returned to the command center, news had already arrived from the front. Two DHS special teams had reached the target location but found no one at the scene. They haven't returned yet and need to look around to see if there are any new findings, but it doesn't look hopeful.
Agent Raymond's face looked grim. This time, DHS had lost too much face, not only suffering heavy casualties, but the biggest credit for the case was taken by the FBI who assisted them. There was a chance to save face, but now it seems unlikely.
Before everything settles down, Raymond definitely needs to do something to avoid looking so bad, but he needs to think about how to do it and also consult others for their opinions. This is not only his trouble but an issue between the agencies.
