Weekend, Jimmy called Charon to set up a meeting, although his visits to the Intercontinental Hotel had become frequent and suspicious, so he chose his own bar.
Charon didn't mind meeting Jimmy outside and arrived at the bar on time in the afternoon.
Jimmy didn't call Woody to work earlier; instead, he manned the bar himself. On the counter, there was a plate of almonds and cashews, which he had found in packaged form behind the bar and emptied into a plate to go with drinks, "Good afternoon, Charon, what would you like to drink?"
Charon: "Soda water is fine, I can't drink alcohol."
Jimmy nodded: "Understandable." He took a can of soda water from behind the bar and handed it to Charon, "How's it going with Perkins? Has she given you any info?"
Charon: "Yes, I've contacted her, and I think there should be arrangements soon."
Jimmy: "OK, I'll wait for her a bit longer. By the way, I wanted to talk to you about whether there's a reliable agent in New York?"
