It was rare for Xu Weiran not to work overtime, and upon entering, he found Sheng Ning'an at home.
"Off work so early today?" Xu Weiran looked at her in surprise, and at the meal prepared behind her.
Sheng Ning'an smiled and said, "I took the afternoon off!"
"Not feeling well?" Xu Weiran immediately stopped what he was doing and looked at her, his expression filled with concern and worry.
"No, don't worry, I'm just exhausted from all the overtime lately, and I needed some time off to rest," Sheng Ning'an explained.
"If you're tired, rest well. You can save the cooking for when I get back." Xu Weiran said as he washed his hands and came over to help.
Sheng Ning'an handed him the last dish and went to get the bowls and chopsticks, saying, "It's been a while since I cooked, so I wanted to see if I'm still good at it. You came back just in time, we can eat now."
