The giant tornado suspended in midair was particularly shocking, especially the densely packed black spots that, upon closer inspection, turned out to be all Mutated Birds. Outside the Protection Wall, a group of Mutant Beasts was attacking frenziedly; some of the beasts were spitting out Wind Blades or Ice Arrows from their mouths. From time to time, people on the wall would sustain injuries. Those who lost their balance and fell would be swarmed and devoured fiercely by the Mutant Beasts.
Originally white with snow, the ground had been trampled into a mess during the battle, stained extensively with blood, a sight to behold. Apart from the Protection Wall, many inside the Base had also suffered injuries, likely the handiwork of those Mutated Birds above.
