Cheng Jue grimaced, "If I had known you were Brother Fu's fiancée, even if a knife was held to my neck, I wouldn't have dared to flirt with you."
Fu Jinghen rubbed Wen Qiao's hair, "It's alright, don't be hard on him; he knows he was wrong."
"Fine then."
Wen Qiao still respected Fu Jinghen greatly.
Cheng Jue finally let out a sigh of relief.
Wen Qiao handed the bag she was carrying to Cheng Jue, "I didn't know what you would like, so I just picked out a watch."
Cheng Jue was momentarily surprised, then gratefully accepted it, "Sister-in-law, I'm happy enough that you came to celebrate my birthday. You didn't need to bring a gift."
Wen Qiao smiled, "It's the least I could do."
Actually, the watch was indeed chosen by her, but Fu Jinghen was the one who paid for it.
Since Wen Qiao had never given him a gift before, he certainly wouldn't let Cheng Jue get ahead of him.
He refused to back down when paying, and Wen Qiao, unable to persuade him otherwise, let him have his way.
