Xi Ying listened to Yuan Ming's words, pondered for a long time, seemingly still contemplating the deeper implications within.
"The Shared Fate power that I've awakened can be divided into two stages. The first stage is called 'Life-lock', which can be activated as long as there's physical contact with the target, hence merging our life force together and locking it in place. The second stage is 'Shared Fate' itself, which, through the Life-lock of the first stage, shares life force between both parties, meaning life and death together; any injury I sustain will also manifest on the other person, and similarly, their injuries will appear on me," Yuan Ming explained.
"Is it only the person who shares fate with you that, when injuring you, will have this effect? Or once Shared Fate is complete, no matter who injures you, the person sharing fate with you will also sustain the same injuries?" Xi Ying asked.
"It's the latter situation," Yuan Ming said.
