The phone was at a normal volume.
Jiang Jiu pressed her lips together, listening to the noisy chatter around her, feeling as if a thin film had settled over her ears, isolating her from the world.
Her body stiffened as she took a step back, and suddenly, her phone rang.
Jiang Jiu was momentarily stunned and didn't dare to answer it.

The voice on the other end was Jiang Siyan's.
