After returning to the border, Xiu and the others finally calmed down.
It was instead Xiao Zheng who still harbored a bit of guilt towards them: "I truly apologize, if it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been dragged into this matter."
"It's alright, you saved our lives once, so even if you asked us to die for you, it would be justified." Xiu paused slightly, then said with a hint of guilt, "Besides, truth be told, if you hadn't appeared, we were actually planning to escape on our own."
"So in this matter, you don't really owe us anything."
Xiu was a straightforward person and did not want to use this incident to tie Xiao Zheng down.
Even though Xiao Zheng could be considered one of the top-tier powerhouses in this world, Xiu didn't want to deliberately cozify up to him. It wasn't that Xiu didn't want to be friends with Xiao Zheng, but he felt friendship shouldn't be mixed with any interests.
