Elizabeth grimaced before falling silent without looking directly at Victor, forgetting the question she had asked. After she remained silent, Victor spoke again.
"Let's keep walking. When we get back, we can try to say that there's an alternative entrance here if we manage to open it on the other side. For now, let's just keep going. We still have a couple of hours before we have to go back and they think we're dead," Victor said as he started walking through the tunnel again. Now that there was an alternative exit, he was very sure that they could get out this way later.
Victor had previously been a little unsure about who to start looking for influence with, but now he knew he had been right from the start: Elizabeth was a perfect target. But with her own fear and strange insecurity.
