After six hours in the cave, Victor and the other cave explorers returned. They were dirty but unharmed. They all walked together with calm, comfortable smiles, as if they were already a group.
Victor had a smile on his face as they all talked about their youth. Their stories were full of passion and self-glorification.
"You should have seen me play the trumpet, I was incredible, the best of the best. When I was still in Spain, I met my wife at a beach bar thanks to my trumpet skills," said the old man as he nudged Victor in the side with his elbow while laughing.
Victor looked at all the elderly people, most of whom came from different countries. The bunkers were not built to accommodate the entire population. There was no room for the military, and many elderly people did not even try to enter the bunkers, reluctant to leave their homes.
