Drumph, Donlow, and Fuzzsir quickly completed a thorough sweep of the area surrounding the shelter.
They did not encounter a single monster, which only deepened the confusion in their hearts.
That afternoon, the three of them returned to the shelter.
Once they regrouped, Donlow spoke up first.
"The area to the north of the shelter is completely free of monsters. I scouted all the way north to the abandoned train station. That's far enough from the shelter, and even there I didn't see a single monster—which means we can completely stop worrying about a monster attack from that direction."
Fuzzsir immediately nodded in agreement.
"In the southwest, I didn't find any monsters either. I didn't go as far as Donlow did—only as far as the abandoned overpass."
Their answers did not surprise Drumph.
After all, in the southeast—the area he had scouted—he too had found no trace of monsters.
