Diana opened the door. Seeing Kevin, she blurted excitedly "What a wonderful day it is, you also came today" "Come-come I will introduce you to someone, you will be very happy"
Kevin understood that Jack had already arrived. He asked, "Hello Diana, Has Jack arrived?"
"How do you know that?" "Did you know beforehand that Jack is coming today?", Diana asked suspiciously. She kept aside her messy thoughts and greeted Kevin inside. Kevin ignored her and went directly to Jack's room. Upon seeing Kevin, Jack became excited and tried to question him, but Kevin refused him and asked to get their breakfast first.
The meal was directly served after they took their seats. The rich aroma of the served food instantly filled the hall. Jack's mind was already filled with many thoughts but getting a glimpse of home-cooked food after such a long time, he forgot about anything else and focused on eating. He wolfed down the food without any hesitation. Kevin was all silent and kept a side eye on Jack while dining. He understood one thing that he can't keep all those secrets' hidden from Jack anymore.
Kevin gestured Diana to leave them alone for some time. Diana nodded and left the dining area silently. Kevin took a sip of tea and asked sarcastically "Do you like it ?", "Like it, what ?" Jack replied in a confused tone.
"What I mean is, did you like the house?" Kevin asked again.
"What is there to like about it, this is my home as you said before. And the most comfortable place in this world is one's own house" Jack replied directly.
Kevin became silent upon hearing Jack. But before he could utter another word, Jack angrily asked "Do you want me to force you or do you want to confess everything by yourself?"
Whether anyone notices it or not, Kevin can sense Jack's aggression from his words and only a few knows the outcome of provoking this devil. This reminded Kevin of an old incident where Jack consecutively killed 4 people out of anger because they called him an orphan. Yes, calling someone an orphan is also a very big deal but not a big statement to get killed.
Kevin did not want to remember those things and tried to comfort himself by lighting a cigarette and offering another one to Jack. On the other side, Jack was fuming with anger. While smoking he punched the, glass made, Dining table hard and broke it into pieces. Kevin knew Jack was getting out of control, so he asked "What do want to know?"
Upon hearing this, Jack became impatient and asked "Can't you see all this mess?" "I just want to know who is responsible for my pathetic condition Kevin."
"For this, I don't have any answers for you but I know someone who maybe knows something about the day you suddenly disappeared" "Because he is the one who informed me that you are heavily injured and I should save you from someone named, Anthony Marc", Kevin replied in a very serious and clam tone.
Jack focused on the name and asked in a confused voice "Who is this motherf*cker!!" "Anthony Marc, son of a bitch, I will kill you 1000x times if I caught you", "Who are you talking to Jack?" Kevin enquired politely.
"Don't play riddles with me, tell me where can I find your so-called 'someone'", Jack becoming impatient again. "Don't be so angry, Jack" "Otherwise your head will burst with fury" Kevin advised sarcastically to ease the situation. But, no jokes or comments can ease Jack's already f*cked up mind. He was already in a situation where everything felt so unreal to him, but he had to go with the flow and trust his beloved friend for his vengeance. He quietly looked at Kevin with watery eyes asking for his help in the worst phase of his life.
Kevin understood his friend's unspoken words and took him 25 miles far away from his place in his car. Without even notifying, Kevin and Jack were standing at the threshold of someone's house i.e. the informer about whom Kevin had told earlier.
Kevin gently tapped 2 times on the door. But, no one replied to them after they waited for more than 2 minutes. Jack started banging on the door in rage. Kevin reacted, caught Jack's hands in time and stated "Why are you making a ruckus here?, We are here to get information about your past." "Step aside and maintain your behavior. Don't act like a hooligan everywhere."
"Keep your mouth shut, Kevin. Already I am in a bit too much trouble and frustration." "I am not in the mood to listen to your lectures," Jack replied fuming with anger.
But the very next moment, the door opened with a 'crrrrr-crrrrr' sound and the scene shocked Jack to the core.
He only uttered a single word in amusement "YOU...…"
