Relic are objects that carries ancient power, history and wills.Relic are often tied to lost civilization,gods,forbidden existence or catastrophic events erased from the history.
There are two type of relics natural born and Unintentionally created. Relic cannot made by any people it created naturally or Accidental or unintentionally created.
Finding a relic was extremely hard and gaining the ownership was even harder as Relic have will of there own.

Shiva might have lost the battle but he manged to get a chuck of flesh from his enemy face. That flesh Turned in the a fractured mask a relic which Shiva's had kept hidden from the world.

The item name is fractured mask which seemed different and unique for a Relic in Blake eyes.
As a created he knew how powerful an relic could be so the name itself seemed a little odd to Blake.
Relic were crazy powerful items that were very overpowered so he had to see what kind of relic it was.
he continued reading on when he saw the relic was a Graft type Relic. Which were something never mentioned in the story of novel. He left a lot of history pages empty in the novel so he didn't know many thing especially when he is living in the reality of the book. He knew majority about the main cast and their future but not much about the history of the world. he left the history on void now it coming to him with how his memory had been in the later stages of life.
He continued reading the reading the stats relic when he read the description he mind started running and fueling in exhaustion. The description mentions about an enemy which the Shiva had fought and lost a arm and leg but their aren't being that were supposed to be strong than Shiva in story other than the final enemy. Sure there are being who are suppose to be as strong as Shiva but never someone stronger other than final villain but it appears in the later part of the story so how come there is a being who manged to make Shiva run for his life.
Blake might not no many things due to his illness as he keeps forgetting many things but he knew major points. So for a story to have this much change even before the main event begins he couldn't be even be sure about the future events especially with new history appearing right in-front of him. so he didn't know about the future.
Blake was having a mental stroke as this isn't the story he foretold.
There were a lot of things that didn't make sense i thought it was strange that a being could absorb two divine beast blood and survive but he survived the assimilation of two Divine Emperor beast's. Shiva loosing his arm and leg to a being who hadn't appeared in the story and a new type of relic. He wasn't even sure now that this was his novel anymore.
The characters and power system were still seems same but the story is already becoming a variable per-main story before the academy. He couldn't be sure of many things. But what he knew is he had to be strong to survive this world and find out the truth about his reincarnation and changes in the history and story.

*what with i receiving multiple eye ability in a single day* *first it was truth eyes and now Rupture* eye.
Indeed he did receive two eyes related abilities in a single day. Eyes of truth was a eye that every God beast possessed it simply a divine eye with a lot of abilities. well bloodline is one the factor in deciding how powerful an eye can be. One of them is being able to tell if someone is lying or not.
With Truth eyes it becomes very easy to see truth and lies. But its not omnipotent there are flaws after all anything can't be without flaws.
Another is is energy signatures which is helpful in learning Racial abilities through runes.
There are many application of truth eyes but that for another time Blake knew about Relic but not about graft type relic but one thing he knew is that to know a relic abilities he has to activated it and every relic has their own to active them.
From the relic name it was pretty clear how to activate it.
