Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: When I Have 100 Spell Scrolls!

Chapter 114: When I Have 100 Spell Scrolls!

Two hours later.

Matthew opened his eyes again, his consciousness had returned to Troll Valley.

His mana was restored to 270 points!

As soon as he stepped out of the tent, he saw a rather interesting scene.

Jifan, holding a bag, was surrounded by a group of bowing female ogres.

The blue-skinned Yagron was also trailing behind him, leading a bunch of chubby ogre cubs.

Jifan pulled out a large salted fish, gently tapped it, and pointed to the big trees around the ogre camp, shouting in broken Giant:

"Tree! Fish!"

The female ogres stared blankly at him, their eyes fixed on the salted fish in his hand.

If it weren't for Beelzebub and Old Village Chief Field standing nearby, exuding a strong sense of deterrence, the ogres would have probably tried to snatch it by force.

"Is that all?"

Matthew blinked lightly but didn't say a word, silently observing the scene.

Unexpectedly, Jifan chuckled, lowered his head, and said to the drooling Yagron:

"Chop tree! Trade for fish!"

Yagron's eyes widened immediately; although he had just eaten a full meal two hours ago, he was already feeling hungry again.

He eagerly nodded and waddled his round body towards the trees at the camp's edge.

The ogre cubs eagerly followed behind him.

Seeing that the ogre cubs had started moving, Jifan signaled to Tom.

Tom grabbed a bunch of newly made wooden axes and tossed them to the ogre cubs.

He glanced out of the corner of his eye at the clustered female ogres, ensuring they showed no signs of aggression, and then demonstrated chopping at the tree trunk.

Yagron, clearly more intelligent, grabbed a wooden axe and began chopping with a "thunk thunk" sound.

The nearby ogre cubs, though a bit slow, quickly followed suit, imitating his actions.

Jifan loudly cheered them on, rewarding the most diligent cubs with small dried fish while waving the large salted fish in his hand.

"Chop tree! Trade for fish!"

Encouraged by the rewards, the ogre cubs chopped even harder, shouting along with Yagron.

"Chop tree! Trade for fish!"

Seeing no danger and unable to resist the smell of food, the female ogres hesitated for a while before coming over.

Watching their intimidating bodies, Tom instinctively swallowed nervously, but he held his ground and continued repeating:

"Chop tree! Trade for fish!"

"Chop tree... Trade for fish?"

Compared to the round, fierce-looking, horned, and tusked male ogres,

The female ogres resembled enlarged versions of human women.

Their skin was slightly darker, and they lacked the fearsome protruding fangs, though faint muscle lines were visible. Their curvaceous forms made Tom feel even more "pressured."

Hearing their somewhat rough inquiries, Tom quickly nodded and swallowed again, saying:

"Chop tree! Trade for fish!"

While speaking, Tom opened the nearby wooden box, revealing sharp axes inside, and mimed chopping at the trees.

The female ogres exchanged glances, sensing the dozens of eyes watching them from all around.

They grabbed the brand-new axes and obediently started chopping at the trees.

Fighting was the male ogres' role; all they wanted was to fill their bellies!

Thunk! Thunk! Thunk!

Axes swung, sending wood chips flying.

Few female ogres become professionals, and their combat skills and experience were limited.

However, their astonishing strength talent still allowed them to possess more than 20 points in extraordinary strength attributes as adults!

In just a few short breaths, a massive tree, requiring two people to wrap their arms around, was chopped down swiftly and cleanly.

The large tree crashed down with a "boom," sending dust and leaves flying.

The female ogres immediately stopped their actions, all turning their heads, eagerly looking at Tom.

Tom felt his legs weaken, and before he could react, Jifan had already placed the salted fish in the wooden box.

Before the female ogres could pounce, Jifan pulled out another bag of salted fish, swiftly opened it, and continued:

"Chop tree! Trade for fish!"

The female ogres glanced at each other, grumbled among themselves, and then started chopping the surrounding trees again.

Before long,

Trees continued to fall one after another, and the wooden box gradually filled with salted fish.

The soldiers and adventurers exchanged bewildered glances, and when they turned to look secretly, they saw several bags full of salted fish.

It seemed the ogres had plenty to eat now!

Alice strode over, blinking in disbelief, and when she spotted Matthew approaching, she quickly said:

"Trolls are coming, a large group of them!"

Matthew turned his head and motioned for Alice to lead the way, while discreetly notifying Old Village Chief Field and Beelzebub.

Standing on the hilltop, two to three hundred trolls emerged from the distant thicket.

"Troll soldiers? Troll warriors? This must be the last of the troll tribe's elite forces!"

Matthew climbed to the high ground, raised his staff high, and pointed it toward the distant trolls.

Everyone turned their eyes toward him!

Soldiers, adventurers, ogres, trolls!

All eyes were focused on Matthew, filled with indescribable disbelief!

Beelzebub's mouth opened slightly, witnessing a scene he would never forget for the rest of his life.

A spinning fireball shot out from the tip of the raised staff!

With a "boom," the expanding firelight exploded in the midst of the trolls.

The power was immense!

It filled everyone with awe!

The trolls, 200 meters away, were caught off guard. More than ten charging trolls were struck, and six or seven died instantly.

They never expected the fireball spell to reach so far, so fast!

But before the trolls could react,

A second fireball was already whistling toward them!

Boom!

Followed by!

A third one!

A fourth one!

A fifth one!

...

The continuous explosions echoed through the ravine.

Each burst of firelight represented death, sending shivers down everyone's spines!

The rumbling ground shook everyone to their core.

In the blink of an eye, hundreds of trolls were engulfed in the smoky explosions!

The shrill screams, even from hundreds of meters away, could be heard clearly.

The intense sensation shot straight through everyone's mind!

Just as everyone thought the relentless fireballs would continue until every troll was wiped out,

The whistling sound of fireballs abruptly stopped!

The figure at the highest point had a dark short spear lodged in his chest.

Everyone's hearts tightened, then they saw the black spear fly out, and the figure in the black robe vanished without a trace.

Another unscathed figure stepped forward, raised the staff high, and, under the watchful eyes of all, cast another fireball spell!

Boom!
