Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - A History Untold

Raymond follows Vivian as she walks silently, as the two of them make their way to what seems to be a clearing in the forest. Vivian looks up at the sky, seeing the sun, she realizes that it still only the middle of the day, despite everything that has happened so far.. Sighing, she gestures to Raymond. Without a word, realizing that this is where she want to chat, he waves his hand, causing the Earth below them to form into chairs, facing each other. Raymond heads over and sits down on the chair across from Vivian. As she sits down she looks at him, clearly in deep thought. Her mind clearly frazzled by the information that she just learned.

"Okay, so ignoring the fact that my entire knowledge of history has been shattered, let's focus on the facts that we know clearly." Vivian remarks as she sighs, regaining her composure.

"I take it this has to do with the fact that I'm not the same person as the one who died and caused the war in your future?" Raymond says with a rather serious tone, his golden eyes meeting her bright blue ones. Vivian nods slowly in response.

"Everything that I once knew… it's been shattered, it's just gone. Maxwell remarks that humans at this point in time look the same, and that Humans and Blebians both don't have breeding seasons… That is not what we were taught in school. We have breeding seasons…" Vivian's voice trembles as she speaks, clearly bewildered. After a few seconds, Vivian gathers herself with a deep breath. "Then there's you! The Raymond Joy Oden that was from my past, whose death caused the most brutal and first world war in history… he was a different person from you. You said he came back to the past out of revenge, but ended up dying, and then you woke up in his body… You're not just a normal "Human" are you now?" She says, her voiced with with rage at first, then with awe. Raymond settles himself down, relaxing in his Earthen chair, with a soft look on his face.

"I would call myself Human, though I would not call myself a Normal Human of Ubidar. I was Human on my home planet Feldoiya, though now I am in the body of a man who tried to change his life after he came to the past, dying early trying to achieve his revenge a bit too early…" Raymond says in a somber tone as what he says reminds him of his home. "His death in your time lead to a War in the time that you experienced… I was also in a world filled with war, however I became the ruler and brought the world to peace. There was still conflict, but there was no war. As a result, I would definitely not call myself Normal." Raymond says his somber tone and look, brightening a bit. Vivian looks at him, at first with a some confusion, but quickly his words begin to make sense as she puts everything together.

"I see, that explains some things now that I was able to focus on what you were saying." She says, only for a simple memory of her grandmother to quickly go through her mind. "Feldoiya… I remember you saying that the song I learned from my Grandmother came from a place that you knew, I assume that it's a folk song from your home planet right?" Vivian asks as she looks up at him, Raymond nodding yes in response. "Well, I'm glad I was able to learn where the song came from then, though, I'm not sure how Grandma Veleximia learned the song though." A somber look appearing on Vivian's face as she things about her Grandmother. Raymond suddenly begins laughing sadly with tears coming out of his eyes.

"So that's what happened to her! She succeed in her wild experiments." Raymond says as his laughing stops and simply turns into slight tears. Confusing Vivian as he suddenly gets up, walking over to her.

"Raymond?" Vivian questions, being very surprised, because she did not expect Raymond to be able… {He Can show such sadness, yet joy? What's happening?} She thinks, very confused about the current situation. Raymond, moves to stand right in front of her, as she sits in the Earthen Chair he made, and puts his left hand on her head, releasing something. Vivian, jumps out of the chair away from Raymond as quickly as possible.

"What the fuck did you just do?" Vivian shouts as she stands up, ready to fight, not noticing the change that has just happened.

"I thought so…" Raymond mumbles to himself. "Vivian, is your grandmother still alive?"

"Yes, she should be living the life she dreamed out in the woods away from the main family," Vivian begins to say as she glares at him.

"The Dream of being able to live among nature, taking everything in. The sounds of the birds, the rivers, the smell of everything. It's everything she could ever dream of." Vivian and Raymond say at the exact same time, causing Vivian to become even more confused than before. Raymond snaps his fingers, instantly creating a mirror out of sand from the ground below then, and handing it to Vivian, she takes it, still on edge, until she looks at herself in the mirror, surprised by what she sees.

"Vivian, it seems like you're Grandmother Veleximia, is the same young Princess Veleximia that I once knew on my home Planet Feldoiya. She was an Elf of the Sapphire Forest. She has probably used magic to disguise herself in order to appear as a Blebian. I was wondering why your Hair and Eyes seemed so familiar to me." Raymond says as Vivian looks at herself. Her skin is now slightly tinted blue alongside her tan skin, her soft sapphire hair now standing out more, her vibrant sky blue eyes stand out even more now, her Ears now Serrated and slightly pointy. Before Raymond could explain what has happened to her, she turns a bit, and lifts her shirt a little, and pulls her pants down slightly, on to see that she now has a cute little bunny tail, causing Raymond to sigh. "I was going to explain that it seems like You're 1/4th a Feldoiyan Sapphire Elf, because your Grandmother was a young kid when she was last seen on Feldoiya, but suddenly vanished one day… Also, please don't ever let your grandmother know that I saw your tail." Raymond explains, as he looks away out of respect based of what he knows about Sapphire Elves.

"Or what, would you have to marry me if she found out?" Vivian cracks as a joke, with a smile, happy about this new information, as she hides her tail again, and begins to admire her new looks as she looks in the mirror more closely. {I knew Nana Velex has her secrets, but to think she was hiding the fact that she was from a different world, and isn't even Blebian… I wonder if Mother knows that she's not Blebian… She'd probably have a heart attack!} She thinks, with a bit of a chuckle at the end. {Hold on, why did he go silent?} Vivian wonders as she looks over at him to see him blushing slightly. She realizes then, that her joke, might not have been a joke.

"In Sapphire Elven Culture, they are rather traditional, so if a man or woman sees the tail of another, they either have three options, and that is to get married to the other person, get married to someone from a different tribe, or get murdered… and since I know for a fact that there are no other tribes, you're grandmother might opt to kill me." Raymond says, as he looks back at Vivian, only to see her smiling as she stands right in front of him. Her smile, becomes a playful one, as she grins from ear to ear.

"Well, something tells me, that Nana Velex would think quite differently of The Grand Fairy Warrior marrying her granddaughter." Vivian says in a very joyous yet teasing tone. Raymond Flinches at that nickname.

"And here, I thought she would've kept her past a secret." Raymond sighs in defeat.

"Oh she did, but thanks to you, I realized that the grand fairy tales that she would always tell me, was her way of telling me about her life, and how she ended on Ubidar, and even how she met Grandfather." Vivian says with a bright smile on her face. She continues to tease him for a little bit, before they settle down, and sit back down in the chairs. They begin talking about their past again as they were once before.

"To believe that you have overtaken the body of the one whose death caused the most excruciating pain of my life after I woke up, I still find quite unbelievable." Vivian remarks, restarting the conversation, as she becomes serious once again.

"Well, While my story is quite an intriguing one, I think the story of how you became the Suicide Blood Demon of Nightmare Mountain, the sole survivor of the Blebian during the longest war, must also be quite the intriguing, yet sad tale." Raymond remarks in a rather soft, respectful tone. "I can only imagine based off of what I've heard from how you introduced yourself to Maxwell, I gathered some information, but that is most certainly not everything… After all, remembering your rage toward the Extrum, and how you basically said that bastard ruined your life, must also connect to your future." He says piecing together what they experienced the other day. Vivian shivers slightly as she remembers everything.

"That is correct… While my life was consumed by war, the main reason it pisses me off so much, is because when we first met, and fought that Extrum, that was where I originally was attacked, and put into a coma for Twenty years… When I woke up, I was still mostly paralyzed, and no one expected me to recover. I learned that my Grandmother and Mother had both died in the war, which confused me, because at the time, I had no idea there was a war going on, nor did I know how old I was until they told me. I was attacked, and the next thing I knew I was paralyzed and in a bed., Everything was… confusing, and I panicked many times… I eventually made a small recovery when I was 45, a year after I woke up, I was able to move, but I was still very much a patient, and I was not expected to live for another three years. That was when I discovered A certain type of energy, that I believe you call Healing Energy, I learned how to breath that inside my body along side mana and magic energy, extending my lifespan. I made a full recovery only six months later. I trained for three year before joining the war, and once I was in the war, it was gruesome… though, it didn't bother me as much a I though it would… well only seeing stranger die didn't, seeing those I considered friends and family die was the worst. I eventually discovered by pure accident, Sacrificial Energy, as I called it, inside of my body, causing ti rip apart, and that if I combined it with healing energy it give me extreme strength. I discovered it because an Enemy Mage attacked me with it, and would stab people, and cast the magic inside in order to kill them. I instantly activated my Healing magic at the time, which save me and gave me strength. Taking this, I created the technique I now use called Vivelvor, which only became stronger throughout the years. I lost everyone… All of my family, all of my friends, becoming the last Blebian. I gathered a team of who I thought were trusted allies ta the time, and decided to defend my home forever, regardless of what happened in the war. After 50 years of defending the home, I became known as the Suicide Blood Demon, and my home became known as Nightmare Mountain. After that, my allies said that they were going to fight somewhere else, so I defended the Mountain myself for the next hundred years, honing my technique into what you currently see me use. Because for the last 700 years of me using the technique, it would essentially look like I was bleeding constantly, and looked like a Demon, which is how I Earned that nickname. At the end of my life, I saw my allies, who had joined the Enemy, and decided that they needed to get passed me… That Fucker, Syntheia, one of the 150 Mythical Beings stabbed me in the back while I was sleeping. I managed to Kill her before I collapsed and Died… but If I ever see that version of her again, I will personally TEAR HER HEAD OFF MYSELF!" Vivian explains, remarks, and says all with intense emotion behind every word. However, despite her anger, she notices the look on Raymond's, face, which causes her anger to subside almost immediately. It's not a look of pity, nor a look of joy, but rather a complicated look filled with empathy, sadness, and understanding. It was look that made Vivian, despite her rage, become very curios about caused such a look on the face a man who united his entire planet. {Now that I think about it, he's told me that he's united his kingdom, but never about how he did so.} Vivian thinks, as she relaxes back into her Earthen Chair once again. "Raymond," Vivian says suddenly in a soft, calm voice, surprising Raymond, causing him to look up at her. "I would like to hear your story now, even if it's a bit long." Vivian says with a soft, understanding smile.

"Are you sure? It will take a while?" Raymond asks, just to make sure.

"Yes, I'm sure." Vivian responds with a simple nod. Raymond smiles softly, as he looks up at the sky.

"It all, began one morning… I was around 40 years old on Feldoiya when The neighboring country, I don't remember their name, attacked the country I was living in. Chaos ensued, death was everywhere, not a sight a peace anywhere. The only choice I had, was to fight back, during the next twenty years this war lasted. During this war, I discovered and came across a group of Feldoiyan Elves who never participated in any war or skirmish. As the war continue outside for many years, I was learning about Elven magic, and being trained by them for around 200 years. Learning their magic and techniques allowed me to live, long past the normal years of a human, which was only 170 years on Feldoiya. Exiting the Elven forest, I was expecting the war to be long over… I was correct that the war I was initially apart of was now over, but now the entire world was involved in a war. I participated in the war once more, and people started learning how to use magic as well. This nightmare continue for 2 thousand years. I was sick of everything, I wanted to give up… I wanted to Die. I didn't care if the people kept dying, or if I kept killing, I just wanted it to end. So for that year, I took everything off, I didn't participate in the war, nor did I care what happened. I was finally content with everything, and that was how I was going to live the rest of my life, alone, in the woods, with no one around. Everything Changed the day I met that young girl…" Raymond says as he goes into detail about his story, but suddenly he stops after he mentions the girl, and tears begin to fall down his cheeks. "Luna Violet, this young 7 year old child… she found her way to my cabin. I don't know how she did it… She had scars all over her body, she could barely move when I opened the door… I decide to heal her using the Elven magic I learned. I was able to physically heal her injuries.. only to learn that she was born Blind, so no matter what I did, I couldn't heal her eyes. I thought she would be angry, be scared, after all, she was practically crawling when she came to my door. She was quite the opposite, she said that my cabin made her feel calm, feel happy. She told me happy stories about her family, and how they were probably looking for her worried sick. As the days went by, I noticed that I was starting to feel joy, laughter, the feelings of worry once again. I began to care for this child greatly…" Raymond says… taking a few deep breaths too calm himself down as he cries. Vivian sees the look in his eyes. A softness, a deep sorrow, an amount of emotion that see hasn't seen from the look in his eyes, thinking he could never make such a look.

{…I hate myself, for thinking that just because he seemed happy, just because he united his world, means he experienced peace compared to me…} She thinks as she squeezes her fists tightly.

"…Just as I had realized that she was precious, she fell ill… I took care of her to the best of my abilities…her last words to me… 'Ray Ray, Please be happy, thanks to you, I learned to love the world once more.'…" Raymond cries, barely being able to say it. "I cried for days, I watched her die in front of me!" He shouts loudly, fraught with grief he thought he was long over. Vivian gets up suddenly, and hugs him tightly, surprising him. Vivian knows what he's gone through, she's felt the way he has, wanting to die before as well… living life through war, wears one down after all. She was able to keep her sanity staying sane through revenge. She knows that Raymond isn't like that. The emotions he's feeling, the distraught he feels. She recognizes it, even if it's foreign to her personally. This raw emotion he's feeling. He learned how to feel love once again, but not just any love… Even if it wasn't long, he felt the love that is one of the strongest alongside war, beside the grief, fear, hatred and revenge, Raymond feels the love toward this child that a Caregiver feels, a Mother, a Father, a Parent… He was feeling the grief of loosing his precious child. Vivian, hugs him closely, seeing Raymond Hugs her back, tightly, crying.

{I can't even begin to imagine how loosing someone you care that deeply about like you child must feel… I don't know, but based of of how he's a similar age to met, even if this was hundreds of years ago, though since he said two thousand, I imagine his age is far older on his home planet, I can't imagine the pain of how that must've felt if he still feels like this.} Vivian's mind runs wild, trying to understand his pain, trying to understand his sadness…

…Raymond takes a deep breath after a long while, still holding Vivian closely, his voice still distraught. "That… That was when everything changed for me… Hearing how she started to love the world again because of me, a world she couldn't see… how she wanted me to be happy… It filled me with immense sorrow… … … Though, it also filled me with pride… I was proud that I was able to let her experience happiness before she left the world… After that, I resolved myself to change the world… to make it one that she would be proud of… I started gathering a bunch of allies, over the next thousand years… During this time, I discovered the fact that there are parallel worlds alongside ours, different worlds, different universes, different timelines… I saw worlds where Luna was living happily with her family… worlds where Luna's parents lost her, like in my world… worlds, where different versions of me existed, where they caused destruction of the world, being over taken by grief… I learned all sorts of truths during these times in these other worlds… It only confirmed for me me what I had to do. Once I returned a hundred years later, me and my allies, put everything into motion… we succeeded on the year I turned 3674. The plan was a success, and I became the Ruler of the world… I started putting systems in place, in order to make the world a better place. During then several thousand years, no wars happened, crime was still a thing, but we were able to correct prisoners after, and I would check in every once in a while… and then…" Raymond explains, his voice still filled with sorrow, but moving through. Afterward, he informs Vivian about the development of his planet, and how during those several thousand years, he explored the other worlds in much more detail, learning everything he currently knows. He informs him about his greatest work, Platina, and about the final speech he gave just before he died. Raymond still hugging Vivian, hugs her closely one last time, putting his head onto her shoulder.

"Raymond?" Vivian says in a soft, caring tone.

"I did good right? I managed to create a world that Luna would be proud of, right?" He says, his voice full of worry, clearly thinking that he hasn't done well. Vivian, thinks about her past life for a minute, and what he's been doing helping her, showing his emotions, and what he's been through. Vivian hugs him closely without saying a word. Then after a few seconds, she leans him back away from her, seeing clearly, Raymond crying softly. Vivian puts her hands on his cheeks, looking at him directly.

"Raymond!" She says sternly, full of power, like a commander, causing him to open his teary eyes. "If Anyone Tells You That You Have Not Made Luna Happy, And That You Haven't Done Good, Then They Clearly, Don't Know You! OF COURSE YOU'VE DONE WELL MAKING HER PROUD!!!" She says every word sternly, then shouts in her loudest yet most prideful voice, making sure he understands loud and clear. Raymond smiles, beginning to laugh through his tears.

"Thank you!!" He shouts, happy that someone has finally acknowledge his efforts, confirming that his life choices, were not wrong, putting a smile on his face, Vivian hugs him.
