While the capital was still healing from the damage the Demon Cult had wrought, Amon was relatively free.
For one, the only thing that Amon could do was rescue people from the wreckage, and that phase had been completed long ago. Almost everyone who perished during the tragedy had been buried, and now the rebuild phase was mainly construction and restructuring the government, things that Amon failed spectacularly in.
Ask him to fight multiple Apostles at once? Amon was the guy.
Ask him to do paperwork on how to give construction grants… Amon would be left clueless.
Not only that, using his knowledge of the future and overall intimidation, Amon had already wiped clean the remaining spies in the capital.
So came a different issue… what was he going to do for the foreseeable future?
