It felt weird.
And a bit sad. Even if he was also not quite what she would consider an innocent bystander - or, at least, she was fairly certain he was not going to grow into someone she'd like all that much in the book- she couldn't help but see him a bit differently.
There were a few other characters she might meet, as she was now. In the past, that was.
Would all of them feel the same way?
She hadn't really thought about it before.
After all, she was focused on getting to safety, not trying to find sneak peeks of the characters before the book. She had the world's worst sneak peek possible as it was.
Plus, being in Sidera, she wouldn't be meeting all that many of the people Altoran did anyway - his journey was primarily far south of Sidera. Sidera loomed above him, an ominous northern threat throughout most of the book.
Not all of the characters in the book had tragic backstories. And even those who did, not all of them came from Donncahd's actions.
