Maddy and Myra left got ready to visit the Vishnu temple.
" Would you like to come Kenny", she asked.
" You should go my child. It's very peaceful there", urged Sonia.
" Okay aunty", she said.
The three of them left for temple.
In the car
Myra was driving.
Maddy took the passenger seat. They made Kenny sit comfortably in the back.
" What prompted you both to visit this temple suddenly ", asked Kenny.
" In Kashi a Naga priest asked me to take blessings of Protector Lord", replied Maddy. In the trio of God's Lord Vishnu is the protector. He is also the sacred God of our clan".
Myra thought for some time and said
" My reason will seem wierd to you both", she said.
" Define wierd", said Maddy.
" Paranormal ", said Myra tentatively.
" Freaked out"?
Maddy chuckled. He said,
" I lhave been living with that ghost master Raj since I was 10. He sees dead girls, becomes a psycho prince bent on killing, then we find there are 4 people inside him plus he can control fire, water and air. The f*cker reads minds too. I am at times sh*t scared of him. I don't think yours exceed that. So we are good to go".
Kenny pouted but Myra started laughing.
" He gave you guys a hard time growing up", she said.
" Nah", said Maddy. " It was fun being with him.I love that f*cker.He loves us more than his life. Each one of us can take a bullet for him".
Kenny's face softened.
" You are a good man", she said.
Maddy smiled.
" So what's your reason", asked Kenny.
" Remember when in that basement snake bit me you called me Reshma", said Myra.
" I don't ", said Kenny.
" It's fine. But Reshma was Shalini's stage name. She was a dancer. She was Riya's fiend. Baba told me she died of snake bite. She use to say to Riya baba will make a great father. I think.. Umm I am Shalini's reincarnation. "
There was a silence.
" So a connection is there", said Kenny.
" Kenny all the stories are connected", said Maddy. " We all are born for a single reason", said Maddy.
" And that would be", asked Myra.
" Salvation ", said Maddy.
The women agreed.
" The temple is here", said Myra. " I will park. You guys get the supplies".
" Okay", said Kenny.
In the temple
Few moments later they were all in the temple marveling it's design and architecture.
" This is one of the best designed temples", said Maddy.
" It's really peaceful here", said Kenny. " Your mom was right".
" Baba said they incorporated old temple design with modern architecture ", said Myra. " Since Riya wished for preserving that palace he came here to get inspiration ".
They all went to garbagraha( main temple area with idol of deity) and offered puja there.
" Bless us Vishnu ohh Protector of mankind", prayed Riya.
Maddy prayed for Lord to show him the correct direction in his search for the culprit.
But Myra prayed for more tangible results.
" Give us your blessings Protector and offer us your weapons to fight the evil like you offered Riya and Shalini".
The deity's eye twinkled. Nobody noticed.
Though the blessing was offered to all of them Myra's were about to come true.
After they cosumed the prasad they wandered in the local market.
And that's when they met Him.
" The blessings of Protector ", shouted a young boy.
The trio were drawn to him.
" Little boy what do you sell", asked Kenny.
" Shankh, Chakra, gada, Padma", said the boy.
Myra started.
" And what is your name", she asked.
The boy smiled.
" Don't you remember me", he said.
" Krishna", said Myra.
Suddenly she touched his feet.
Maddy and Kenny suddenly realized that the Protector Lord was standing with them. They immediately touched his feet.
Krishna smiled.
" Mongoose can fight only on land", he said. " The devil can attack in air or water too".
" What do we need", asked Maddy.
Krishna looked at the bird standing at the feet of Protector Lord.
" A hunter of sky and", he looked at the first avatar of Vishnu a large fish.. " One that of water".
" He uses puppets,; people who are dear to us", said Kenny.
" Try not to harm the innocent queen but if someone chose a non-righteous path for themselves their Karma will catch up with them".
" What is my role", asked Myra.
" That of a shield. To the light. The storm will be hard. Beware ", said the boy.
" We are blessed", said Maddy.
Krishna gave him two flutes.
" You will need them . To communicate ", he said.
Maddy looked at him stupidly.
" With birds", he smiled. " They passed your test".
" It was you", said Maddy. " Should have known as you argued with my fighter", he said.
" The times will be tough but truth and Dharma will prevail", said the boy.
Then he gave Myra a small bottle.
" What is this", she asked.
" This is a power born out of a brave woman who when she chose the right path faced a powerful venomous monster. No poison in the world will defeat it", he said.
" Shalini", said Myra.
" A gem of a woman", said Krishna.
He gave some light sticks , an earthern lamp and a whistle to Kenny
" To show the direction guiding light", he said.
Then he said,
" Horses ride better in mountains than machines".
He was talking about those pictures.
Then he gave them his symbols
" You pay for them", he insisted.
They all did.
"When holy water of seven rivers is spreaded on a place no monster can enter there", he said.
" Thank you Krishna ", said Kenny.
" With my blessings the victory is yours", said Lord Vishnu.
He then walked playing his flute mingled in the crowd and disappeared.
" I think we have what we came for", said Kenny.
" Hmm let's hurry Raj is in danger", said Maddy.
Meanwhile
" Gaurav I am organising a large prayer meet to mark 13 days of grandpa's death. A puja and feast of holy sages should be done too", said Raj.
" As you wish your highness", he replied.
" I want peace for his soul", said Raj.
" He was a great man. I am so sorry for your loss", said Gaurav.
" Thank you", said Raj.
" I was wrong about you. You are a responsible man and good leader. All this will be over soon and you will ascend the throne. Then we will celebrate your wedding and Maddy's too", said Gaurav.
" We both are sorry for what we did ", said Raj.
" It's fine. You had His blessings . It's all that counts", said Gaurav.
Raj nodded. He knew Gaurav respects Kenny's wishes but he was far from being his choice for her.
" See to the arrangements ", he said.
" Yes your highness", Gaurav bowed and left.
