It was not hard for Daniel to read Ryan's feelings because it was written right on his face. The way his eyes were blazing with anxiousness of losing someone he hadn't even made his, yet was too clear to be ignored.
Ryan froze when he heard his friend. But soon, his brows drew in a frown, and he looked away, dismissing the thought. "You have gone stupid, Daniel. Zenith is my secretary. We maintain a formal, polite work relationship. There is nothing else between us."
Daniel hummed, nodding as though agreeing to his words. But then his lips curled up subtly at the corners, and he pointed at the window in front of which they were standing. "Looking at yourself, brother."
When Ryan turned to stare at him instead, he gestured for him to follow his words once. Ryan didn't want to, but he turned to face the glass window anyway. His reflection was vague, but against the darkness of the night, it was still visible.
