The conversation lasted over two hours, longer than Zhou Li had expected. Most of the time, however, they didn't discuss serious matters but chatted casually, as if they were neighbors enjoying the cool breeze.
Minister Zhang was a person with diverse interests and loved to chat. He was very curious about the relationship between Heavenly Masters, demons, and traditional Chinese mythology. This topic alone took at least half an hour. If anyone else had heard them, they might have thought it was just a few children babbling nonsense. He was also very curious about Zhou Li's and Yin Le's childhoods, asking all sorts of questions. It wasn't clear if he was gathering information, but at least his expression didn't give the impression that he was probing for news. Instead, his genuine interest easily stimulated a person's desire to talk.
He was also very interested in ceramics, raising cats, and even the university life of young people.
