Several redwood tables in the courtyard were moved and joined together to form a rather large wide table. The disciples of One-Leaf Pavilion carefully unfolded the scroll and spread it on this large square table, displaying a grand and magnificent landscape of rivers and mountains, vibrant and extraordinary, beyond the skills of ordinary means.
This painting is Zhou Shen's greatest pride in his life, taking a full year and three months to complete.
Now, with age advancing, his painting skills have matured, but even if given double the time, it would be difficult to capture the spirit and essence within the painting. This time, coming to the First Estate, a special carriage carried this scroll, valued highly, and he would not have parted with it if not intending to share it with the Fourth Manor Master of the estate.
