"My dad told me to come home tonight."
"Oh? And did you agree?"
Just then, Xue Yang came out of the kitchen with a plate of chicken. Hearing them, he said, "You've been living in the dorms for over half a month. It's about time you went to see your dad."

"Dinner's ready. I'll take you home after we eat."

"Xue Yang, how come you're not taking me home?" Si Wen chimed in.
"Your family's driver is already waiting downstairs, so there's no need for me to. Gas is expensive, you know."
"I can tell him to leave right now. I'll cover your gas money."
"In that case, you can find your own cab home tonight."
Si Wen glared at him. "You'd drop your friend for a girl in a heartbeat."
