North of the River, Cangyuan Mountain
Shenzhou's three great mountains, ranked by size, are the thousand-li Cangling, nine hundred-li Cangyuan, and eight hundred-li Moyun Mountain. The exact lengths of these mountain ranges are, of course, not as precise, but their characteristics can be roughly determined from their names.
Cangling is named for its height, Cangyuan for its breadth, and Moyun for its length!
There are eight provinces North of the River, and Cangyuan Mountain serves as the boundary between the eastern second province and the western sixth province. One can imagine the vastness of the mountain from its ability to serve as the border for eight provinces.
