Upon hearing Chen Yang's words, the previously indignant crowd instantly became timid.
They all backed off, no one daring to step forward or say anything more.
With Jiang Huaiming screaming so miserably earlier, no one dared to take the risk again.
"Fine, I remember you both, you shameless couple. Don't recognize us as relatives, huh? Then don't bother coming back in the future!" shouted an aunt, clearly fearing Chen Yang's actions.
Realizing there was no benefit to be had, these people decided not to continue the fuss and leave.
Grumbling for a bit, they helped Jiang Huaiming up and left the construction site.
On their way out, they muttered quite a few unsavory comments.
But Chen Yang and Jiang Miaoyan paid no mind to their words.
"It's alright now, Miaoyan, everything's fine."
Watching Jiang Huaiming and company disappear into the distance, Chen Yang returned to Jiang Miaoyan's side.
