Isn't this basically a free giveaway?
This discovery greatly surprised Fang Hong. You should know, when he had the Artisan Association copy those books above the intermediate level, it often cost him tens of thousands of Lycels—even under the condition that the Istania local Artisan Association gave them a special price at the Grand Princess's suggestion.
Knowledge is priceless; this is a common understanding among Alchemists.
This price almost immediately tempted him, so he simply put down what he was doing and transcribed a few more books—in fact, he spent tens of thousands of Lycels to copy the entire set of treatises from the Lingen School, which is high-level knowledge that money couldn't buy elsewhere.
Of course, saying transcription doesn't mean copying word by word; it requires using the Information Crystal to input text and image information, which is slightly slower than scanning, but not by much.
