A hard-fought half-quarter, by the time the official timeout came around, the score was 83 to 86. The Hawks had only closed the gap by 1 point, scoring 15 points while the opponent also scored 14 points!
After the timeout, the Bobcats fielded a lineup with Felton, Zhang Yang, Hill, Millsap, and Okafor.
On the Hawks' side, to enhance mobility, Woodson placed Horford at the center position and sent in Bibby, Joe Johnson, Pierce, and Juwan Howard for the other four positions.
Okafor scored with a low-post hook shot against Horford, widening the score gap to 5 points again.
Then Joe Johnson, against Zhang Yang's single coverage, turned around for a mid-range shot, but missed. Hill protected the defensive rebound.
The Hawks' lineup with better mobility played its role, not allowing Zhang Yang to run and shoot, dragging the Bobcats into a half-court game... but unfortunately, they still couldn't stop them.
