"Thankfully the sun isn't out or you lot would have found yourself in quite the pickle. This is beyond lucky if I do have to say myself. Is it not a sunny day in hot Phoenix Arizona? Color me impressed at your luck." Jack said with a chuckle.
"We have to go to Bella's house, we might be able to find some clues there," Emmet said as he and Rosalie walked behind Jack.
"Let's call a taxi," Jack replied as he walked towards the line of taxis parked just outside of the airport.
The two Cold Ones followed behind him.
"Do you know where Bella's house even is?" Jack questioned before he opened the taxi door.
"Yes, it's at…" Before Emmet could finish his words his phone rang, the caller id showed that it was Alice calling him.
Accepting the call, he brought the phone to his ear.
"Bella's in trouble you need to go to her ballet gymnasium, she's heading there right now, James has kidnapped her mother," Alice said from the other side of the call.
"Where is it?" Emmet questioned immediately.
Alice proceeded to quickly tell him the location before ending the call.
The trio immediately entered the bright yellow taxi before telling the driver their destination.
It didn't take them more than half an hour to reach it.
Paying the taxi fare, Jack hopped out together with the two Cullens who immediately started walking at a fast pace toward the gymnasium in front of them.
'Well isn't this an interesting twist?' Jack thought to himself, sounding like he found the situation extremely funny however his emotions had yet to change even once, at most he simply felt curious about the turn of events taking place in front of him.
Walking slowly, looking as if he was in no hurry at all, and simply taking a stroll through the park, Jack followed behind the two who had already entered the gymnasium.
Entering inside, Jack was met with the sight of Bella on the floor whilst the entirety of the Cullens faced off against a Cold one.
'That should be James.' Jack thought before giving a light shrug and continuing to walk towards the man, his steps slow and steady though they clearly echoed in the large gymnasium causing the others to look back towards him.
"Well then, this guy is James correct?" Jack questioned aloud, Alice giving him a nod in return.
"Well, that's great," Jack replied as he continued to walk towards the man, only stopping when he was a mere meter away.
"And who might this be? Another human?" James questioned with a smirk, having mistaken Jack for a human as a result of hearing his beating heart.
"A Human?" Jack questioned as he looked at the man incredulously.
He had actually been surprised by the man, he didn't know stupidity could reach such levels.
'The Cold Ones of this world really don't know anything about the supernatural world do they?' Jack thought to himself before releasing a slight chuckle.
"Would a human be able to do this?" Jack said as he raised his arm.
James's eyes followed the movement, finding something strange in Jack's hand.
Jack was holding an arm.
A familiar arm.
Looking down, the man found that his right arm had been detached from his body, now being held in Jack's hand.
He hadn't even noticed, he hadn't even seen Jack move at all.
Jack turned towards the rest of the Cullens and said with a slightly joking tone.
"Anyone need an arm? I got an extra."
With those words, Jack's hand moved once more and another arm was promptly detached.
James was still in disbelief as he stood still, the pain hadn't even been perceived yet.
His brain likely hadn't even realized that two of the body's arms had been detached.
And it similarly didn't realize when the head detached itself from the body a split second later.
Jack placed the arm and head down onto the ground before showing a slight smirk.
"I wonder, would you be able to regenerate if I completely smashed your head? Down to the smallest pieces?" Jack questioned aloud, though it was clear that he was asking the question to himself more than to James.
Just like his previous actions, It happened in a flash.
In a single moment, James's head exploded and was promptly smashed into hundreds of pieces.
"Right, your body is similar to that of a stone statue rather than that of a regular human. At least there isn't any blood, that would be a pain to deal with if it got on my clothes." Jack murmured as he got up from his crouched position next to the pile of shards that had previously been James's head.
"I'll leave the burning to you all, I'm too lazy to do it," Jack said as he started to walk towards the group who had yet to move even a single inch.
Finally one of them moved, it was Edward who quickly sprinted towards Bella's fallen body, holding her in his arms.
Carlisle arrived next to him in almost an instant.
"It's too late the poison is already starting to spread."
"No, I can't let that happen," Edward muttered as his hands started shaking slightly.
"You could drain the poison out however would you be able to control yourself, Edward?" Jack said as he turned to look at the two, a curious expression on his face.
Edward simply turned his head to gaze at Jack with what appeared to be anger at his carefree attitude.
Jack merely raised his hands in mock defeat.
"What? This has nothing to do with me, this mess is entirely your own."
"Jack stop, we don't need you antagonizing him," Emmet said in turn as he placed a hand on Jack's shoulder.
"Right," Jack muttered, his expression turning to a poker face once more.
His quick change in emotions and expression seemed jarring to Emmet who had felt like he knew Jack at least somewhat.
'He's changed too much for me to even call him the Jack that was once my friend.'
"That's not a nice thing to say, Emmet."
"You can read my thoughts?" Emmet questioned, his tone of voice showing his confusion.
"It was easy to guess what you were thinking."

Started Fanfiction writing more than a year ago now, took quite a lot of breaks but I was able to do this as my job for quite a while until college and other real life matters took charge first.
