Ruofei's POV:
~Time skip~ Four hours later
I wake up in a hotel room. Somehow, I can't remember how I got here and my memories are blurry.
I tried to get up but I couldn't. My whole body was hurting. "What the fuck happened last night?" I ask myself trying to remember. All my memories are blurry and the last thing I remember clearly is kissing Qingyue. Don't tell me...
I look around the room and at this moment I find out I'm not alone. A man is sitting on a chair next to the window. He has short blond hair and definitely looks American. Maybe he is mixed?
The unknown man giggled, "You finally noticed me, young master." "Young master?" "Yes. I am a new bodyguard hired by your father."
I look at him. 'Shit, what did my brother do again?' "He cares about you and your family, young master."
I roll my eyes. "You could say it like that. Anyway, what's your name? I forgot to ask you before."
"My name is James, young master." "Do you have any connections with L Group? I noticed they like using English names." "Not really, I know only the receptionist. "
I get up from the bed and walk closer to James. Since we started talking I forgot that I was still in bed. Also, thank fuck the chair isn't far from the bed or else I would have been laying on the floor right now.
"One more question, do you have Andy's phone number?" "Yes, why are you asking, young master?" "I need you to ask Andy to bring me some clothes. Would you be able to call him?" "Of course, young master. Anything else?"
"No, just go and please be quick." "Okay. " After that, James left. I called one of my employees and let him know he won't come to the company today.
After about half an hour I hear knocking on the door. It was Andy with my clothes in his hands.
"Oh, shit!" I curse as I fall on the floor. Even though Andy was behind the door, he knew I was in pain. If anyone passing by saw his face they would be really surprised, because he was smiling.
Why? Because he knew that his friend succeeded. Of course, he wasn't planning to tell anyone. I found out that he works for Qingyue just few months ago and I let him work for me just because I knew that if he leaves, Qingyue will hire someone new.
He opens the door and walkes towards me to help me get up. Due to the extreme pain I was feeling, I couldn't get up by myself.
Andy helps me get up on my feet and gives me my clothes. "I asked your brother to help me with choosing. Hope you like it."
"Thank you very much, Andy." "It's my pleasure. If you would be okay with it, I will wait for you outside of the room for more privacy."
"Give me fifteen minutes, I will try to be quick." 'At least I hope.' "Okay, young master," Andy said and went out.
About sixteen minutes later I open the door of the hotel room. "I am done." At that moment Andy turned around. He immediately closes the door behind me and walks towards the exit.
"I already called your driver to pick you up, boss. Your father told me that you are not going to the company today, and he asked me to send you to the main house. He needs to talk to you about something."
We walk out of the hotel and get into the car. I and James are sitting in the back seats and Andy is sitting in the front seat next to the driver.
About a half hour later we finally arrived at their destination. Andy went to discuss some company matters with my older brother Wenlan.
James and I go to the second floor where my dad has his office and library. When James opened the door of the library I see a woman, sitting in an armchair and my dad standing behind her.
"You are finally here," the unknown woman says with a smirk on her face. "Do you know her?" James whispers into my ear.
"Of course not. She is probably another business partner of my dad." I reply, making sure she hears it.
"How dare you! You don't even recognize your mother now? I rushed here because I thought you would be happy to see me again but, you actually pretend not to know me!? I wonder if you are still my son."
"Come on mum, don't be so angry," I say with a smile and hug her. "I know you love me so you don't need to pretend. Anyway, why did you want to see me, dad?"
"I thought you might appreciate that your mum is back. If I had told you from the start I am sure you wouldn't come back.
"Thank you for the praise, dad. Mum, I want to introduce you to someone. This is my new bodyguard James."
"I know dear, I already saw him before," she says with a grin. "What do you mean by that? You know him?"
'Come on son, you are probably the only one clueless' she says in her thoughts, but she didn't change her expression since she didn't want her son to be suspicious.
"Of course. Your dad showed me his photos before but he looks even better in reality. He didn't tell you?"
I turn around. "Dad, you knew about this? Why you didn't say anything?" "Of course, I knew, but you didn't ask."
"Are you even my parents? Mum, do you have something to say?" "Your love is back from abroad. She's probably in your office by now."
My eyes lit up. "Really? That's amazing! Why you haven't told me sooner? James, please tell Andy, we are leaving."
"Okay, young master." James replies and goes to open the door for me. When I leave the library, he turns around and smiles.
My parents smile back and gesture to him that he should hurry. He understood this gesture immediately and leaves with a smile on his face. The car was already waiting outside, so he just opens the door and sits inside.
On the way to the office, I asked him why he was smiling before and he replied that it was because my parents wanted him to promise, that he would take care of me.
I turned around, not wanting him to see how embarrassed I was. For the rest of the way we didn't speak and when Andy tried to turn on the radio, I just glanced at him, letting him know that I wanted to have some rest.
After arriving at the company, I sent Andy to bring me some documents and went to my office. James walked behind me and when he opened the door of my office he saw a woman sitting on the table.
