The sky was turning a pale white as Gu Mingzhu gradually awoke. Opening her eyes, she looked at the yellowing ceiling and smelled the disinfectant of the hospital, feeling somewhat lost.
She turned her head and the moment she saw Jiang Jing by her bedside, her eyes lit up with excitement. She sat up, ignoring the pain in her wrist, and threw herself into Jiang Jing's embrace, extremely emotional.
"Brother Jing, you finally came to see me."
Gu Mingzhu held Jiang Jing tightly, her heart filled with excitement. She just knew, she knew Jiang Jing wouldn't abandon her.
"Be careful of your hand," Jiang Jing reminded her stiffly.
"I don't care."
Gu Mingzhu felt that her hand didn't hurt at all. She tilted her head up, her pale little face accentuating her big, dark eyes as she said, "Brother Jing, I just knew you wouldn't leave me. I've realized my mistake, and I promise I won't do anything like this again. Will you forgive me?"
Gu Mingzhu carefully looked at Jiang Jing.
