"Yining, I finished making the cake today, and I made the cream too. It's so fragrant and sweet."
Xu Nianhua was used to thinking Pei Yining would answer the call, so as soon as the phone connected, she shared the good news about her cake right away.
Pei Yining had almost zero resistance when it came to food; Xu Nianhua could picture her getting really excited hearing this, and desperately wanting to try it!
"Yining?" Xu Nianhua didn't hear anything on the other end and found it strange.
"When can I taste your cake?" Pei Yicheng's deep voice came through. Xu Nianhua's eyes instantly lit up, her brows curved, and even her voice unconsciously became a little gentler as she asked, "Cheng, are you home today? Next time we meet, I'll make a cake for you. But you might not like it, it's pretty sweet."
