Pei Yining spoke and hurriedly gave Xu Nianhua a pleading look at the kitchen doorway, clearly asking for help.
"Yes, this tastes really good," Xu Nianhua followed Pei Yining's words, saying, "We had it at lunch, it was delicious. I'll go heat it up now so we can try some tonight too."
"Yes, yes!" Pei Yining nodded rapidly, carrying the plate of glutinous rice rolls back to the kitchen, afraid her brother might give her a hard time later.
She knew her brother didn't like Wan Hongxing; he never even touched anything Wan Hongxing brought over.
"Yicheng, do you want to take a shower first? Dinner will be ready soon."
Xu Nianhua flashed a bright smile. Just thinking that he lost his mom at ten made her heart ache a little.
"It's hot, I'll shower later—washing my hands is enough," Pei Yicheng tried to soften his expression, worried he might scare Xu Nianhua.
"Alright, go wash your hands then."
Xu Nianhua didn't ask any more, just hurried him to wash his hands before eating.
