In the evening, Aunt Jin cooked a whole table of dishes, all with flavors typical of South City. There was a plate of spicy diced chicken, and just looking at it made Xu Nian'an drool.
"Aunt Jin, your cooking just keeps getting better!"
Xu Nian'an praised her. Every time he ate Aunt Jin's food, it felt just like coming home.
"I'm just glad you all like it." Aunt Jin replied with a cheerful smile. Like always, after finishing the cooking, she went home, no matter how the Pei Yining siblings tried to keep her—she would never stay.
Four people sitting in the dining room, a table loaded with dishes—it felt a little extravagant to Xu Nianhua.
"Let's just treat it as a celebration for summer vacation!"
Pei Yining took a deep breath, holding her orange soda. "Come on, let's celebrate. Summer break is finally here!"
"Yeah, let's celebrate." Xu Nianhua raised her orange soda too, saying happily. For students, getting winter or summer vacation really was something to be excited about.
