Ji Ying was at the factory, answering a call from Xu Nianhua.
"Nianhua, as long as you and Nian'an are safe over there, that's all that matters. Why did you buy such a big color TV? That must have cost a lot, right?" Ji Ying had just received the TV. In this era when even black-and-white TVs are rare, a color TV is something else altogether.

"Mom, what's the point of only saving the money we earn? Now that we have a color TV, you guys can watch TV when you come home, right?" Xu Nianhua grinned widely, picturing a brand new color TV in their new house, feeling especially happy.
"You two, always spending money carelessly." Ji Ying was both worried and happy, worried that they'd just started earning money and already spent so much buying a color TV.
