"No, Aunt Wan, school starts tomorrow." Pei Yining refused and had the family chauffeur take her instead.
Wan Hongxing returned to the dining room. Pei Guozhong was sitting there, his face stony, clearly angry. Pei Yijian sat there uneasily and said, "Mom, Dad had a fight with Sis."
"It's nothing, Yijian, be good. Dad and Sis were just talking a bit loudly. You eat your food like a good boy, and then you can go watch TV." Wan Hongxing coaxed Pei Yijian.
As soon as Pei Yijian heard about watching TV, he picked up his bowl and started eating hungrily.
"Guozhong, eat too, don't let it get cold." Wan Hongxing sighed and said, "I made a whole table of food, and none of you are eating. I really made it all for nothing."
Half-chiding, half-complaining words. Pei Guozhong had been angry, but now he softened instantly. He said, "Eat, eating is most important, we can't waste Hongxing's efforts."
Pei Guozhong began to eat big spoonfuls of the food.
