"Second brother, eat slower, there's no one fighting you for food." Xu Nianhua watched him wolf down his meal and hurriedly reminded him, "Be careful not to choke."
"I won't."
Xu Nian'an was shoveling rice, stir-fried pork with chili, pork with fried tofu, and some greens, mixing all the food together to eat. Only after polishing off the whole insulating bucket of rice did his empty stomach finally feel comfortable.
There was also pork rib soup, and he drank it in big gulps, finishing whatever little sister left uneaten and stuffing it all into his stomach.
"Burp."
He let out a satisfied burp, and happily dumped out all the money he'd earned today onto Xu Nianhua's hospital bed.
Ones, twos, fives, and fifty-cent coins, piled up in a big heap, quite eye-catching.
