The mother and daughter talked intimately for a long time. By the end, it felt as if Xu Nianhua was about to leave for school somewhere far away, just short of the two of them crying in each other's arms.
The footsteps of the high school entrance exams drew closer and closer.
Xu Nianhua received another letter from Pei Yining.
Ever since Pei Yining sent her that gift last time, they exchanged a few more letters. Reading the playful words, Xu Nianhua could almost feel how Pei Yining was counting the days until they went to Beining University together.
Of course, most of the time Pei Yining asked about her study problems—if she ran into trouble, she liked to ask Xu Nianhua.
Xu Nianhua always replied in detail each time.
This made Pei Yining never forget to remind her in every letter: don't forget their promise to apply to Beining University together.
"Xu Nianhua, you've got mail."
