In less than ten minutes, Zhou Mingchen came through the door.
Xia Lu had just put down her soup bowl and stood up when he strode into the kitchen and bumped right into her.
"Where are you going?"
Xia Lu casually grabbed a tissue to wipe the traces off her mouth, "Back to the hospital." She blinked her big eyes, looking innocent. "Didn't you say you'd take me back? Let's go now."
Zhou Mingchen didn't leave immediately as she suggested. Instead, he walked around the house a few times. There had to be a reason Xia Lu suddenly came back, but he didn't know what the issue was. Judging by her calm demeanor, she must have already sorted it out. Zhou Mingchen returned to her side and sat down at the dining table. "Since this soup is so good, serve me a bowl too."
Aunt Zhang glanced at Xia Lu, then turned and went into the kitchen to serve the soup.
