The two walked into the hot pot restaurant, just about to choose a spot to sit down, when Xia Lu suddenly heard someone calling her from across the room.
She looked up and saw Karen excitedly waving at her from not far away.
"What a coincidence, running into you here~" Karen stood up and ran over, "There are no seats available right now, right? I just sat down myself, why don't you come and join me? By the way, did you come alone?"
Xia Lu hesitated before turning to look at Zhou Mingchen and pointed at him, "I came with him."
"Huh?"
Only then did Karen realize the man standing beside her with medical tape on his face was Zhou Mingchen. Upon closer observation, she saw he was quite bruised. Seeing him like this for the first time, she was taken aback.
