Zhou Mingchen stood where he was, unnoticed by the three people, while Ye Suiming, who had been sitting on the living room sofa reading the newspaper, waved him over.
"Achen, come sit with me for a while."
Zhou Mingchen walked over and sat next to him.
"I heard you've recently been collaborating with Shaotang on a new hotel project. How is it going, everything progressing smoothly?" Ye Suiming initiated.
"Not bad," Zhou Mingchen nodded. "Actually, it's mainly him in charge; I'm just assisting on the side."
"Not at all," Ye Suiming laughed, "Though Shaotang is ostensibly older than you by two years and considers himself a big brother, in terms of business ability, he still falls significantly short compared to you. With your years of experience, there are times when he really needs your help."
"After all, we are ultimately a family."
This remark was quite jarring, but Zhou Mingchen's expression did not change—he had long cultivated the ability to maintain his composure.
