Chapter 141 - Nitoryu

Ding!

[Quest Complete: Left My Heart]

[Objective: Save the Weathers family from the Legion and Frank Weathers]

[Reward: Super rare Gold-Tier Item Inheritance]

Inheritance:

Any offspring the user has will gain their abilities and skills.

As the notification rang in his head, Six couldn't help but smirk. Gold-Tier Item Inheritance? That was beyond anything he expected. He'd received powerful perks and rewards before, but this one? This changed everything.

His kids—Tanya, August, Levi, Missy, Sasha, and Lumbo—would inherit his abilities and skills. That meant his combat prowess, engineering knowledge, tactical expertise, and survival instincts were no longer exclusive to him. They would start with an innate advantage far beyond what any wasteland-born child could ever dream of.

Rebecca, standing next to him, noticed his expression and nudged him.

"What's with that look?"

Six chuckled, shaking his head.

"Just got a hell of a reward. Our kids are going to be little monsters."

Rebecca arched an eyebrow.

"More than they already are?"

"Way more."

Six opened his Pip-Boy, scanning through the perk description again.

"They'll inherit my skills and abilities. Combat, crafting, engineering—everything."

Rebecca blinked, absorbing the information. Then a slow grin spread across her face.

"So you're telling me we've got super babies?"

"Pretty much."

Six said with a shrug.

"They'll have an insane head start. Tanya's already a reincarnator, and now with my skillset? She's going to be terrifying."

Rebecca whistled.

"Well, shit. Guess we're raising warlords."

Ding!

[Level Up!]

[Level 28]

Once again, Six leveled up. This time, he boosted MELEE WEAPONS to 100, further enhancing his cold weapon proficiency, and boosted UNARMED to 52. For his perk, he selected: Rad Absorption: reducing his radiation by -1 point for every 20 seconds.

Six's muscles tensed as his stats adjusted. He had been holding off on maxing Melee Weapons, but now that it was at 100, he felt a noticeable difference. For a moment, everything slowed—his senses sharpened, his grip on his weapons felt more natural, and something in his very core shifted.

It wasn't just skill anymore—he had transcended what normal swordsmen could achieve. Any melee weapon in his hands would now be a true instrument of destruction.

He also boosted Unarmed to 52, reinforcing his raw close-quarters combat ability. He might not have been a hand-to-hand specialist, but now he could break bones with a punch if needed.

For his perk, he picked Rad Absorption, a passive ability that reduced his radiation by -1 point every 20 seconds. It was subtle but incredibly useful—he could now wade through irradiated zones without worrying about rads stacking up too fast. Given the dangers of the wasteland, it was a smart long-term investment.

Rebecca smirked.

"Getting tougher?"

"Always."

Six flexed his fingers, testing the enhanced precision in his melee grip.

"I maxed out my melee combat."

Rebecca gave him a sly grin.

"So you're telling me you can finally keep up with me?"

Six scoffed.

"Oh, you wanna go?"

Rebecca cracked her knuckles playfully.

"I ain't afraid of you, cowboy."

Six just chuckled.

"Well, now that our kids are set to be walking demigods, I think it's time we start preparing for the next step."

Rebecca leaned in, eyes gleaming.

"And what's that?"

Six's grin turned sharp.

"War."

[MELEE WEAPONS has maxed out]

[Skill Gain: Nitoryu (Cut Steel)]

Six's breath hitched as knowledge flooded his mind. This wasn't just swinging a blade harder or faster—this was swordsmanship on a completely different level. He could now sense the Breath of All Things, allowing him to feel the presence of everything around him. He could cut through steel, through barriers once thought impossible, by aligning himself with the flow of existence itself.

-Flying Slash Attackc= A single swing could send compressed air blades cutting through enemies from a distance.

-Iai = The art of drawing and resheathing his swords faster than the eye could see, striking with unparalleled speed.

-Channeling = Infusing his sword strikes with elemental energy, allowing him to cut with fire, lightning, or even other forces.

Rebecca, watching him closely, frowned.

"Big guy… You're standing there looking like you just discovered the meaning of life. What the hell did you unlock now?"

Six grinned, drawing one of his swords in a flash. The blade whistled through the air—and before anyone could react, a pressure wave shot forward.

SHING!

A distant boulder suddenly had a clean, diagonal slice running through it. A second later, the top half slid off and crashed into the dirt.

Rebecca's eyes widened.

"...Did you just cut the air?"

Raul let out a low whistle.

"Damn. That's some real swordsman shit."

Six twirled his blade before smoothly resheathing it, the sound of metal sliding home clean and sharp. He felt faster, more in tune with his weapons than ever before.

Boone crossed his arms, nodding slightly.

"That's gonna be useful."

Roger, smirking, gave Six a pat on the shoulder.

"Kid, you finally reached this point, you're now a bonafide master swordsman a walking legend."

Six just smirked.

"Damn right."

-Sometime later in Goodspings-

Six raised an eyebrow as he looked at his little sister, Dora, who stood in front of him, hands on her hips, grinning like she'd just won a jackpot.

"Almost all the Cocaine Bears?"

he repeated, crossing his arms.

Dora nodded excitedly.

"Yeah! Your droids did a helluva job. We tracked 'em down, rounded 'em up, and only had a couple of them go nuts before we could tranq 'em. I mean, damn, Six, you should've seen it! Those bears were wired. One of 'em took six stun bolts before going down. Six!"

Six sighed, rubbing his temples.

"Let me guess—some idiot was running some sort of 'experimental operation' out there?"

Dora shrugged.

"Who knows? But from what we pieced together, some cartel remnants thought it'd be hilarious to see what happened if they juiced up the local wildlife with pre-war stashes of narcotics. And, well… Cocaine Bears happened."

Rebecca, sitting nearby and munching on some dried fruit, nearly choked.

"That's what was causing all the attacks? You're telling me we had rampaging, drug-addicted bears tearing up the Mojave?"

Dora smirked.

"Yup. NCR patrols got mauled, caravans got wiped out—hell, even Deathclaws backed the hell off when they ran into these things."

Six sighed again, but this time there was an amused glint in his eyes.

"Alright, so we've got a bunch of hyper-aggressive, drug-enhanced bears in our custody. What the hell do we do with them?"

Dora grinned wider.

"Oh, I already got ideas! We could detox 'em and train 'em as war beasts—imagine armored Cocaine Bears running alongside our droids into battle!"

Rebecca burst out laughing.

"Oh my god, yes! Can you picture the NCR's faces if they see that?"

Six shook his head, chuckling.

"Or, and hear me out on this… we don't create an army of drugged-up murder bears?"

Dora pouted.

"You're no fun."

He smirked.

"We'll figure something out. First things first, get the scientists to see if we can actually detox them. The last thing I need is a bear with withdrawal tearing through Goodsprings."

Dora saluted.

"You got it, boss!"

As she ran off to coordinate the effort, Rebecca leaned into Six, still grinning.

"You totally wanna keep one, don't you?"

Six hesitated, then sighed.

"Maybe."
