Chapter 224 - Chapter 224: A deal.

With evidence in hand, Xiao Han didn't waste any time and immediately ordered his men to capture every one of the Outside disciples of the Divine Needle sect in the city.

Additionally, he sent copies to the other cities and towns in his province, as there were many of these pests hiding there.

Lastly, he sent his most trusted officer to the capital, with the original documents and his own letter, explaining everything to his majesty, and asking for justice for Xiao Su and other victims.

Within a few hours, the Storm Wave city was cleared of most, if not all, people from the Divine Needle sect.

The bonus was that they found more documents and even a few journals, belonging to the arrested people, describing the tasks they accomplished for the sect, and uncovering even more people, some of the sect, some of whom held quite high stations in the Province and the city itself.

During this time, the other group that the captured man told them about tried to attack Madam Gu and her daughters to silence them.

Unfortunately for them, the guards stationed at the mansion were alert and made quick work of them, and even managed to capture one of the assailants alive.

All in all, the Divine Needle sect lost a lot of its men that day, and were about to lose even more, as soon as the emperor himself took action, which would not take long, since Paul gave the messenger a stack of transport spells to make his journey faster and safer.

Paul and his ladies didn't stick around in the province lord's mansion, seeing that Xiao Han was extremely busy with this matter, and went back home, using a transport spell, since they had more than enough excitement for one day, and didn't want to get ambushed again.

The rest of the ladies wanted to know what was going on as soon as they arrived, and were immediately enraged once they heard the whole story.

None of them, however, came close to Irene's rage once she heard that her daughter was injured.

Paul suspected that if the culprits were there at that moment, she would have tore the to shreds with her bare hands.

-So what now?

Wei Lan asked once the emotions settled and everyone managed to cool off a bit.

-Now, uncle is hunting these bastards, and he even sent the proof to the Emperor, so this Divine Needle sect, or whatever they are called, will have a lot of trouble in the near future, and will lose a lot of influence in the mortal realm.

Paul answered.

-Not that it matters in the long run, since I plan to eradicate them as soon as I'm strong enough to do it.

Xiao Su said.

She had no intention of settling for whatever is accepted as justice in the third realm and wanted revenge for what was done to her.

-It'll take a while, but you won't be alone when the time comes.

Paul smiled.

He also planned to eradicate that sect, and he had more reasons for it than just what they did to Su.

He didn't forget about Madam Gu, and once they all calmed down and he was sure his ladies were safe, Paul went to revisit the neighboring mansion.

Madam Gu was shocked at first, hearing about everything that was happening right now, and so were her daughters, since Paul insisted on informing them about everything.

In the end, these matters were directly related to them as well.

-Why are you telling us about it?

The older sister asked once he finished speaking.

-Mostly because you are victims of these people as well and have the right to know what is going on, and also to stop you from ending your lives, at least for a while.

He answered honestly.

-Why should we wait when we already decided that it's what we want?

The younger sister asked.

-Because you two will likely be asked to give testimony and identify the people who did this to you.

Not to mention that you might want to stick around and witness the justice being served.

-How can we identify anyone when we are both blind?

The older sister asked the obvious question.

-You won't be blind for long if you accept the treatments.

Paul pointed out.

-And before you say anything about wasting money on healing you.

You should know that it's not your mother who pays for the treatment anymore.

I'll send the bill straight to the Divine Needle Sect, and I don't intend on giving them a discount.

-Yeah, like I'd believe that.

The younger sister sneered.

She had never heard of a healer capable of regenerating someones eyes.

-Then allow me to prove it to you.

Paul said seriously.

-And how do you plan on doing that?

The girl asked.

-By regenerating one of your eyes today.

He said.

-Have you done such things before?

The older sister asked.

-No, this will be my first time.

Paul admitted.

-Then what do you plan to do if you fail?

She asked, not having even a shred of confidence or hope to regain her sight.

-Simple, I'll try again until it works.

Paul smiled, seeing that these two were getting drawn in and less interested in dying.

-So basically, you want to use us as test subjects to refine your healing techniques and see if they even work.

The younger sister said, not exactly thrilled about the prospect of being a lab rat for this man.

-I'm confident that they work; the question is, which technique will be better in your cases?

Paul answered, not even a bit offended by their lack of confidence in his skill.

-I still don't believe that you can regenerate our eyes, but I'll humor you.

The older sister said with a confident smile.

-Let's make a deal.

She added.

-Let's forget about today, but if you can restore even one eye in either of us, within a week, then you can ask us for anything you want, and I mean anything at all as long as it is in our power to grant it.

-Alright, that sounds interesting, but what if I can't?

Paul asked.

He was just asking pro forma, since he already knew how to heal them, and he was not joking when he said that he could restore at least one eye for one of them.

-Then you will grant one wish for us.

The older sister said with confidence.

It irritated her that this man was trying to keep them alive when they wanted to die, and she wanted to teach him a lesson by ordering him to kill them both with his own hands.

Hearing that Paul had a hard time not laughing, since it was evident what she was planning to ask for, but more than that, she just gave him a way to keep them from killing themselves.

He had no idea what possessed her to suggest such a deal, since he just stated that he was confident in restoring their eyes.

-Alright, ladies, let's do it your way, but you can't reject my treatments during this week, no matter if I'm able to restore your eyes or not.

Paul added his own condition.

-Agreed.

Both sisters said, sealing the deal.

Madam Gu was listening to this conversation and could hardly believe this outcome.

She had no idea why her daughter came up with such a deal, and it terrified her a bit since Paul could now demand anything from them, as long as he could restore their sight, and seeing him work previously, she was sure that he could do it.

The question now was, what would he demand once he fulfilled his part of the deal?

On the other hand, she was almost certain that whatever he demanded would entail her daughters staying alive, so it wasn't all bad.
